Excellent food in a non-pretentious, welcoming environment. Very reasonable for the price. Also excellent wine.

One of my best restaurant experiences. I've been here many times with family and friends, and we are never disappointed.

We had dinner here because our BNB host reserved this place for my son and me. We have got English translation of today's menu which we did not understand well. The menu was terrific.

Seriously! My only disappointment was that I couldn’t take a few dozen home with me. The rest of our meal was equally wonderful – a great salad with... More

Not a tourist in site, we got by on basic French and were rewarded with smiles and excellent service from the manager. A simple, but delicious,3 course meal with... More

The beef, the duck with mushrooms and the chicken and tarragon pie were particularly good and I really loved my starter of baked goats cheese and... More

My wife and I chose La Courtine for an early dinner in Caen. We had been on a tour of the Normandy landing beaches and had about a 45 minute drive back to the B&B in La Cambe where we were staying so dinner in Caen seemed like the best approach. And was it ever! La Courtine is a storefront... More
