What a special evening we had here. We ranked it Among our best. The menu is simple and straightforward and the small wine selection is well picked by the owner. Service was exceptional and the flavors in everyone of our four dishes were outstanding.

Great location right across from Bayeux cathedral. But like its name: small (you can hear conversations from people at other tables, only one narrow toilet) Food good but not outstanding, service fine !

Like many places in France, we experienced slow service. As usual, only one waitress for ten or so tables. She seemed happy, and we could hear laughing from the kitchen which is always a good sign. The food was fine, but nothing special. The wine list was limited. Our choice of Sylvaner was not a good one as we both... More

If the main course had been as good as the starter this would be s 5 star review. The starter was a creme brûlée with foie gras it was tremendous. For our main course we had cod which was good but the side dishes were a little boring. Service was very good.

DH and I had the 25 E plat. Excellent apps. DH had samosas and I had duck. DH had the beef brochette and I had the dogfish. The brochette was medium rare and very tender. The dogfish was moist but the sauce needed a little more acid. The vegetables esp the zucchini were great. The puréed carrots were strange. Tasty... More

We arrived at 7 pm and were able to get a table without a reservation. This place is popular with tourists and locals and quickly filled up. There are three different seating areas and we chose the front as you walk in, which meant that our table was one of the quietest. The food was extraordinary. Fish was served with... More

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and service of this restaurant. The value for money was extraordinary. Three course lunch for two for 34 euro is not easily found in Normandy.

My husband and I were touring the Normandy region of France and decided to stay in Bayeux. This was the best meal we had in France and one of the best meals ever (including some much more expensive meals). The chef was creative and we had a beautifully presented meal that was a delight to eat. I highly recommend it!

Just finished a 3 course dinner here for 25€. Started with an amuse bouche followed by a shot glass of house made gazpacho. First course was a delicious trio of shrimp samosas followed by beef skewer cooked to perfection, and since I couldn't decide which side I wanted they gave me a little of each. For the dessert I enjoyed... More

We accidentally booked at this restaurant, confusing it with another. After discovering our error, we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. Food was excellent. Nothing disappointed. Wine selection was not as large as some other restaurants we visited.
