We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel and when we arrived it was only half full. We were given a choice of 2 tables and then menu's. After time and then a couple of questions the menu's were changed to the English 'version' and from then we were ignored. After 20 minutes we left. Total lack of service can't... More

The Mediéval occupies an 11th-century building built on the left bank of the Agout River; you enter from the first street to the east — the door is a few steps below street level. We chose this restaurant because one of our party had been here ten years ago and had a very positive memory of it. We weren’t disappointed.... More

The vaulted ceiling gives this restaurant a special old time feel. There are seats on a balcony over looking the water but meals are served outside only if the owners feels the weather or the number of clients warrants it. One lady cooks, the other serves. At any rate the interior is very nice and the food is a good... More

Fantastic meal in a unique little restaurant. We dined on a freezing cold Thursday night in January. The restaurant was quiet and we were one of only 2 couples in the place. Our starters of mussels and goats cheese were perfect and our main courses of duck with herbed de provence and fish in a creamy leek sauce were fabulous,... More

Lovely little place to eat, you do need to speak some French. Menu only in French and ladies speak little English. Food really good

. Le Medievial is a great little restaurant. The dining room is spacious and very prettily decorated in an 11th century building overlooking the river. You can also dine on the balcony with the river beneath your feet! The restaurant is run by two ladies in the prime of their life! One cooking and one front of house. The food... More

It was a quirky little restaurant run by an elderly lady who was very kind and tried to be helpful, but her English was as limited as our French,so the menu was guesswork. We enjoyed the meal, and the chocolate pudding was amazing. We ate lunchtime and thought it was expensive for a lunch. Service was a little slow as it... More
