We went here for dinner on a Saturday evening. It reminds me a little of 'Rules' in Covent Garden. The formal waiters keep everything running. Service is efficient. The food we had from the daily specials was fine. With 2 aperitifs, a bottle of champagne and coffee, the 3 course set meal came to 132 euros. There is seating at... More

Basically ordered a meal for two - one starter of sausages and gravy on soggy bread, two main courses consisting of of a thin slice of grilled/roast lamb and jus (minimal) and a brass small pan of quinola. The bottle of Alsace Reisling was not chilled. Total cost 68 Euros. Cuisine no flair or imagination. Don't go here.

While staying in a nearby chateau we were recommended to visit thisrestaurant and we were not disappointed. Although we were not really dressed for the occasion we were welcomed and quickly shown to our table. Menu was an array of typically french cuisine and were duly waited upom. The best part of our visit was when my wife ordered her... More

We had a great dinner here in 2015. Went back this year and were a bit dissappointed. The menu offers a lot of choice, but the main courses are poor. Good products, all very well prepared but no accompanying vegetables. Waiters a bit grumpy. Will think twice to go there again.

Overly pretentious and soulless. Grumpy stern waiter- we're meant to enjoy the food and the experience- non? Duck with supposed turnip and indescribable swede, awful lack of colour and overcooked mush-duck overcooked and minuscule Canette. I cook better duck than that. No point complaining as too much to endure, especially for the price. Waiter did not ask me to taste... More

We were in Limoges, which looked mostly shut for the night - but this was France, and it was Monday, after all. Having scoured the central area, we found ourselves in a square with the Versailles lit up on the far side. A quick look at Trip Advisor reviews suggested this might be just about okay for our evening meal.... More

Had a wonderful evening here in February with my husband and parents in law. From the moment we walked in the staff were superb, polite and attentive. The food was amazing, the waiter appreciated my attempt to order in French. Everything we ate was delicious. The simple dish of duck with sweet turnips was sublime, so simple but so tasty.... More

As janiemann612015 has mentioned, finding an open restaurant on a Sunday night in Limoges is something of an exploit. Fortunately, like any good brasserie worthy of that designation, Le Versailles is open 7/7. Wide-ranging menu, excellent choice of dishes, with pretty much something for every taste available. The venue has apparently recently been renovated, it's comfortable, but has kept its... More
