A wonderful location for a restaurant, overlooking the harbour in Collioure. The service and food were very good. In Britain it would be the equivalent of a seaside cafe but here in France staff have the ability to make you feel special. A very high standard of cuisine.

This restaurant used to be reliably pleasant. Not now. I ate a decent piece of fish but the veg garni had some sort of curry flavour. Glass of white wine was horrid. Worse, the noise from staff and a group of blokes bawling and shouting, plus loud 'Amy Winehouse' on a loop - is that what you want in a... More

Front row seats for a great few over the beach of Collioure. Friendly staff and good coffee. Prices are on the high end, but that's to be expected at the beachside.

Great location and busy because not much open late November. Staff were friendly and helpful but a menu in English would help when choosing from a list of tapas. Price was a little on the high side.

After a week in the Languedoc I realised that - though we've tried out quite a few restaurants - none of them were drool with every bite beyond outstanding with regard to the food. We then dropped in to Chez Simone for old times sake, and every single dish was fabulous. Whether we had luck, I cannot say - but... More

Was expecting a an ok meal . Truly disappointing. Maybe it's because it's mid oct . A third of the items on the menu not available . I ordered hot gambas they arrived cold and spongey and were just under 14 euros for a tapas dish . My husband ordered pork in a BBQ sauce which was served on white... More

Called in on Sunday and had a table for 8, waiter advised a selection of Tapas for chef to decide. Bit apprehensive but what a feast,,,,,two breads with toppings a meat platter with cheese and seafood plates that were outstanding - squid and calamari so fresh and in great dressing.Came to approx 30 euros a head without wine, excellent.

The eternal dilemma about where to eat: a place with a good location or a place with good food? As our favourite (Casa Gala) was shut, we came here. What to say? The tuna tartare looked ancient and tasted of nothing much and the black rice was massively overcooked. The salmon and wakame was ok but under seasoned and the... More

1st reviewed this in 2012 when it was a truly lovely 'hole in the wall' Tapas bar of merit. It is no longer like that. Not sure whether it has been sold or owners have changed their strategy. The place is now worse than many others on the seafront. Seems to be catering for the masses these days. Menus are... More
