food is very standard - including deserts from a cabinet- which would be ok but the place is relatively expensive. Service was ok. Disappointing compared to other places we have eaten. We were seated in an awkward place while there was better seats available

I have to admit we were not in the best of moods when we stopped at L'Atlas for dinner. We had arrived in Paris in the morning and been traveling overnight so we were just a bit exhausted. Fortunately, it was the right place at the right time. We were hungry and not let down. I ordered the beef burgundy... More

We had dinner at this busy restaurant. It was a very pleasant experience. The staff were welcoming and very efficient especially Laura who was always seemed to be carrying dozens of dishes. There is a wide menu. We had oeuf mayonnaise and soupe a l'ognion to start with followed by Vollaile Milanese and a pasta dish with crevettes. To finish... More

Food was terrific and we got a lovely seat by the window. If you are hungry, the portions are very generous and you won't leave disappointed.

I went there today for lunch, January 1st, and I was looking forward an enjoyable meal. The waiter took me and my friend to the 2nd floor and we sat at a table by the window. The table was dirty of salt and pepper and so were the chairs. We ordered a bottle of water (almost €9), 2 flutes of... More

There are still a few places in the world, where clients are treated like s... – L'Atlas is one of them. After one of us was showered with beer (a waiter in his hurry spilt a whole pint of beer over my friend; soaking her hair, her winter coat, her sweater and her rucksack), we were given a voucher for... We were in couple in this bar. The wine was terribles, and disgusting. The service was also unpleasant. Furthermore, this quarter of Paris aren't free. But this bar is really soooooo expensive.

Not very friendly staff. Manager kept arguing with staff rather loudly about customers who had complained. Food was average and overpriced. I guess you pay for the location.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
