We had to return to Royal Madeleine after our first visit. We had many dishes, but the escargots are too good to explain. The scallops were awesome as well. We just had so many dishes and try were all so good. I had the crepe Suzette and it was excellent.

The menu changes with seasonal ingredients and cooked with great flavor and down to earth cooking. The escargot is a must try and if you are there in the winter, do the frog legs.

My girlfriend and I walked to this place from the Louvre. This looked like an authentic place from the outside. However, the experience was terrible. The staff were extremely rude in their behavior. We didn't order wine and they were visibly unhappy with that. We didn't get water for ages while the nearby tables all got multiple rounds. The food... More

I had lunch at Royal Madeleine on a Saturday this November. The food is as good as ever under head chef Martin Harispe. I had cepes and a perfect steak au poivre, with crepes Suzette for dessert. These are classic bistro dishes done with elan and outstanding produce. I had previously eaten here in October of 2014 and the charming... More

Love the Royal Madeleine. The atmosphere isn't stuffy. It's a warm, friendly classic french bistro. My husband had the best blanquette de veau of his life at this restaurant. It's a place we will definitely return to on another trip to Paris.

We went to this nearby restaurant near Madeleine on recommendation of our hotel concierge and some good Tripadvisor reviews. My wife ordered the foie gras appetizer which burned her mouth and was inedible. I had escargot in garlic butter which was Average. We both ordered the signature dish, veal stew. It was plentiful and good, but not great. When they... More

There are not many good restaurants around the Place de la Madeleine in Paris. The Royal Madeleine is a real exception in this gastronomic desert. Great wine list, and excellent food. Always a pleasure to go there. The table setting is particularly smart as you can have adjusting "boxes" to preserve intimacy. Great idea.

The french onion soup, ladled out of a tureen and served with cheesy croutons, is divine. One of our group regularly gets the veal stew served in a copper pot, and raves about it. Great service and nicely appointed decor.

We found this place by accident after shopping nearby. The atmosphere and service were great. The veal stew was amazing. Our very friendly waiter was happy to explain things in English and we had a perfect evening. Compared to Australian prices, it was really pretty reasonable.
