About
Le Bouillon. In the 19th century in Paris, a revolution occured. That was when the first chain of restaurants that cooked cheap cuts with broth in a variety of ways, appeared. Quality menus and affordable prices quickly put these restaurants on the map. And now, history continues : le Bouillon is born. In the 18th district of Paris, quality meets quantity, both on your plate and in your wine glass. This two-storey restaurant can accomodate up to 300 patrons. Bouillon Pigalle reintroduces us to Paris’ popular culinary tradition, which inspires both locals and tourists alike. Its home-made dishes are cooked with the freshest produce. A bevy of Paris’ timeless specialties. Breathtaking.

This restaurant was recommended by one of our guides. Reservations are not accepted so you will wait in line. The length depends on the time of your arrival. We arrived around 7:00 p.m. and waited approximately 30 minutes. The restaurant is large and bustling so...More

We’ve been Paris for two weeks and this is our only disappointment, beef bourguignon was fat and gristle. Crap! The veal stew was tough and dry and the sauce reminiscent of Campbell cream of chicken soup. Too many wonderful places to eat to waste time...More

Prepare for long, long lines, especially around 20:00. We were there at 19:00, and waited for only 5 minutes. I must say that for me, as a vegetarian, the options were very limited. I had onion soup for starter, and for main - my only...More

We stopped here after a long day at Versailles. It was relatively early by Paris standards, around 5 I think, it was already quite busy. We had about 10 parties ahead of us. The host was loud, enthusiastic, and quite fun. He kept the line...More

When I wrote about Bouillon Chartier in 2011 (see 9th Arr.), I said: “You’ll probably want to see this restaurant, but maybe not eat there”. Now, the historic bouillon model is being revived; cavernous, non-stop service, no reservations, very low prices, but in restaurants you...More

We had an adequate meal with appetizer, wine and desert for less than € 40. We will return. Expect to wait if you are there when busy.

They didn’t take reservations, you need to stand in line. It’s a big place though, so the wait isn’t long.
