Mediocre cooking and presentation. Indifferent service. House wine included in the meal but it was not good. Many better choices nearby.

This is a nice little restaurant tucked away down a side street opposite Folie Bergere. The food is good if not exceptional. The service was good. The house wine was fine. Plenty of locals in which is usually a good sign. Plenty of choice on the menu. Nice atmosphere. friendly staff. Recommended as good value for money.

My daughter and I had a great dinner on a Sunday night during our trip to Paris. When we arrived, a relatively large school group from Britain was just wrapping up their dinner. We started with fondue and then had the roasted chicken. Both were excellent. Large portions at very reasonable prices. Rose wine was good and very affordable. The... More

In an area flooded with Japanese restaurants we were excited to find something that appeared authentically French. How disappointing. First bad choice, fish dish in a city. The fish was obviously frozen and not cooked through. Both our dishes were like warm. We complainedand got a shrug and they'd tell the chef. That was it. The only disappointment in a... More

Struggling to find a quiet restaurant on a Saturday night in Paris, we came across this (thankfully). French people in, always a good sign, not an enormous menu but we all enjoyed our meals. Staff extremely friendly but not effusive. Les Folies Bergeres is at the top of the road so there is a touch of exoticism. A good solid... More

This is a good solid little restaurant right down the street from Les Folies Bergères, my go-to place when I am in the area. I really like the cute, cozy atmosphere (red and white checked tablecloths, fireplace, lots of stuff on the walls and wood beam ceilings) and the practicality of the location. Yes, they do get Asian tour groups... More

My wife and I visited this restaurant because it opened early, was close to our hotel and had a reasonable review on trip advisor. We chose to eat from the set menu which had plenty of choices. The food was very good and the waiters were cheerful, efficient and most helpful. The downstairs area is quite large and they have... More

I'm usually in a party of about 8 friends when visiting this restaurant and have done so about four times. Always excellent service and good value food and wine.

The title says it all really and when you combine this with poor service and a debatable fillet of sole, the result is avoid this place. I ordered a glass of bordeaux which turned out be so watery that I left it. My wife's glass of champagne came from a bottle that had been open for too long and lacked... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
