Been here and this is the worst restaurant in paris. Very bad chicken and dal makhani. Paneer was even bad.

So coming from the UK and living in Dubai I have been spoilt in my quest for Indian Food. Being in Paris for six months, I have had the endless search of finding an Indian Restaurant that cooked the food the way it should be rather than the way they think Parisians want to eat it, mild, without taste and... I am a regular at this restaurant and the food is very good and authentic. One of the very few restaurants in Paris where you get real Paneer in the dishes and not cheese. Mr. Shivaa, the in charge is a great host and very friendly. I definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to eat good Indian food in... More

Although a little far off from main attraction, worth taking a taxi and having lunch or dinner at this place. Very Good Indian food.

Indian food is not a priority when you are in Paris but if you have been away for too long and would like an Indian meal, Le Maharaja will help meet this craving. Dal, Chicken Tikka Masala and Naans and Rotis were just fine. The neighborhood was good so if you don't know your way around Paris, it is ok... More

I was actually looking for a different restaurant, but I recognized Le Maharaja from my restaurant searches earlier in the day. Nice Indian cuisine though it's really from Sri Lanka. The people serving me were attentive and helpful and spoke English. Nice environment but you need to know the tables are rather close together for many Americans' sense of space.... More

The decor is very nice, and the owner is sweet. But unfortunately the food was not authentic at all, and not fresh - it was clear that all the dishes were microwave heated. After reading the reviews we thought we'd taste our memories from India, but this seemed like a restaurant that caters to the local crowd - If you... More

It can be so difficult to find truly great Indian food, so save yourself some time and come to Le Maharaja. After several failed attempts at other restaurants in the neighborhood I was delighted at the quality of food and overall experience. The Chicken Tikka Masala had the perfect mix of spices and was absolutely delicious. The menu is very... More
