Style, simplicity and coffee from an award-winning roaster make this a great place to linger.
No-one minds how long you hang out on Hexagone Café’s stylish wooden tables and classroom chairs, so you can linger at leisure. A good thing too, as one of the founders is Stéphane Cataldi, named France’s best coffee roaster in 2010 – and it shows in the quality of the brew in your cup. On our visit in September 2015, the featured Finca la Fany coffee beans had been sourced from the Ahuachapán commune in Salvador. An espresso is €2.50, a cappuccino €4. Team it with a tartine spread with butter and rhubarb and grapefruit jam, perhaps, or a slice of own-made cheesecake. Around €11 will get you a full breakfast: fresh orange juice, a creamy cappuccino and tartines. And if you want to jazz up your breakfast at home, peruse their shelves of ground coffee, coffee beans, salted caramel biscuits and pots of honey. You’ll be happy to accept their loyalty card.

Accidentally stumbled on Hexagone when looking for a coffee during our short stay in Montparnasse.
Great coffee on a par with those in Melbourne Australia - our home town - not easy to find in Paris.
Highly recommended

This is a small cafe & all they do is coffee & a few biscuits as their raison d’être is coffee.
We had a noisette/macchiato/piccolo. The coffee taste was great, but so was the milk - you guessed it, fresh milk, not the ubiquitous UHT.
They have a very interesting book on coffee , written by the owners, which I couldn't stop myself from buying on our second visit to the cafe. Sadly, for our next 2 weeks in France we will be back to ordinary coffee with UHT millk

A charming small space in the middle of an area that most people consider too far out of Paris to be interesting. They're so wrong! The noisette was delicious, the pastry selection is small but tasty. Espresso, Aeropress or pour over, all carefully prepared.

I read online that Hexagone Cafe was one of the best places to go grab a coffee and sit down with your computer to work in Paris. I came with my laptop and ordered a 5 Euro FILTER COFFEE, more expensive than a cappuccino, and so weak it was a joke. I make better filter coffee at home.
Then I proceeded to ask for the wifi password and a plug in case my laptop dies, and the barista told me they don't have wifi or plugs. I referred him to the article I read about cafes to work in, and his only answer was "You shouldn't believe everything you read on the internet".
I know Parisians are rude but this was next level. I stayed just long enough to write this review on my phone's connection and then left.

I love coffee places and this is one of my favorites in Paris. It's not in a touristic area, so that's a plus. Actually, it's in area with very few good coffee places, as compared to areas in Paris such as Canal St. Martin. My favorite, the cappuccino.

Probably the best coffee I had in Paris. You can smell the beans when you walk in. I had a cappuccino and it tasted great. It was actually more like a flat white which I was even happier about. Nice decor inside and was not too loud other. Would be a good working cafe as there is wifi here too. Latte art included.
