We stayed at a hotel just around the corner from the bakery. Most morning I Would go and get coffee or cafe au lait and a pastry for my partner while she got ready. I would sometimes pick up a pastry as well. The food and coffee was excellent and a pretty good value. The place misses getting a 5... More

Eric Kayser is one of Paris' Best Artisants. His bread is simply good. Just spread some salted butter on it and you have yourself a meal. The Bakeries are also very good. Go there to get yourself all you need for a Parisian breakfast.

We used this bakery daily because our lodging was 2 blocks away. Their bread and pastries are delicious, as well as their breakfasts.

What could be better than a yummy tradie right out of the oven? Two of them, silly! The yummy-meter went into overdrive on this visit!

We went here for breakfast on several days. And the pastries were beautiful. For English folk, this place is like the equivalent of Patisserie Valerie! The service was no more than okay, but the food more than made up for it!

We made a daily pilgrimage to Kayser - despite the numerous other bakeries in similarly close proximity - because the croissants as well as the pastries are simply wonderful. Astoundingly we found the baguette only good, but not a step up from other bakeries. (But then, when you're in Paris, getting baguette still warm from oven .... how disappointed could... More

A trip to Paris is never complete without eating a warm baguette and Eric Kayser's breads and desserts is by far the best I've ever had. The bakery includes a large assortment of breads, croissants, cakes, macarons, etc. Each one is perfectly crafted with attention to detail and a quality of ingredients you can taste immediately. We stopped by every... More

THis is a boulangerie plus patisserie and is great for a treat. Fabulous cakes - try the raspberry tartlet - fresh raspberries on top of creme anglaise which is on top of a filling with almonds, marzipan etc - divine!

A small cafe near our hotel. The pastries and coffee were great. Figuring out exactly how to order and sit were a bit confusing as this was our first meal in Paris but we figured it out.

Stumbled on this place as it was near hotel. It opened early and the staff were very friendly. Good choice of food and reasonably priced. A good stop for breakfast or a coffee/cake etc. Amazingly good hot chocolate.

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
