the dinner I have had at this place was probably one of the worst over the past years..The rest. is crowded, the menu is overpriced with 7.5 euros 500ml CAN asahi (compared to 4 euros something in most places around). The 18 to 30 euros sushis/sashimis are pretty much the same you can get for 30% cheaper around. The portions... More

Best tuna in Paris. Great teriyaki sauce and tempura. Sushi suggestions of the chef are the BEST you can get.

Very good simple sushi and sashimi. Great California maki with unagi /eel (very little rice which makes it exceptional!). Tempura mix was my parents favorite - so if you're not a raw food lover - go for it.

When you look at the pictures, You don't think its as good and tasty as it is, but the sushi is amazingly inventive, different tastes would love this sushi restaurant. But beware it is not cheap.

A cousin who works nearby swears by this place, and the first time I went I immediately understood his enthusiasm. It's a simple, tiny place, giving you the feeling of being in on a secret, especially with the warm greeting. The sushi is extremely fresh and well prepared. Nothing more to say, really.

Too bad this restaurant is only open during rush hours. Customers are packed like sardins in a can. So crowded it does not leave place for normal portions, i.e. everything is served in liliputian portions...if really hungry fill yourself with delicious lukewarm rice. Avoid toilets...and stay away from the kitchen to keep your appetite.

Whenever in Paris craving for the best sushi bar, tokyo style, visit Yamamoto I have been a Regular for the past 25 years. Down side, always very busy and may need to wait before seating at the bar

It's one of place I use too go every week and for several reason I haven't been for the last 2 years. Got there Friday night little before closing. And there they were welcoming as usual. And the quality is still there, at the top as the first time I've been there. The chef manages it's art fantastically and if... More

There was nothing I didn't liked, except that the wasabi was a little mild for my taste. Lots of good sushi for a very reasonable price. Highly recommend!

I have been here few times, and even though the place is quite small, if you go early you can find a place to sit, I always enjoy sitting at the bar, so we can talk to the chef and see how he prepares the sushi. The decor is nothing special, this is why the bar is the best spot... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
