We came here for dinner before Moulin Rouge as it’s just five minutes walk. It was a busy Friday night but everything was fantastic from service to food. Special shout-out to Pauline. Fantastic hostess.
The food here was amazing. The only reason that I would not give it five stars, because I did not feel that the staff were as attentive. I did feel we waited a while but it was worth it. Saturday evening with a reservation.
A very lively and welcoming restaurant. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Food was fabulous. Would recommend this place highly.
Food is excellent. Portions perfect size and delicious and service is very good polite and quick. Perfect for families and romantic dinner
Very good tasty food!!! Typical Italian cosy restaurant with Friendly service. Price/quality is really in balance! Thanks a lot
We came here for dinner with a friend and had an incredible experience. This was our second visit after first stumbling across Al Caratello in 2017. We knew we had to come back The food was excellent and the service was above and beyond. The...owner and staff were very gracious and spent time chatting with us, making sure that we we had everything that we needed. We enjoyed learning the story about how he and his family came to own the restaurant. To top it off, he brought us complimentary limoncello drinks. We highly recommend Al Caratello - remember to make reservations in advance!More
We came here for dinner, loved it, so came for lunch the next day…. And the day after. Can’t fault it, the Rigatoni all’arrabbiata is to DIE for.
The food was amazing, quantity was generous, tons of options for vegetarian folks and almost everything tasted great. The host was warm and welcoming, he had the biggest smile as he greeted customers. We ordered eggplant and zucchini rolls and bruschetta for appetizers and gnocchi,...ravioli, risotto (truffle) and eggplant parmesan. The eggplant was slightly off our expectations as it was prepared way differently than what you get in the US. But, everything else was delicious. The food was rich with butter and cheese, risotto serving was large enough to be shared by two. people. The restaurant itself is small like most French cafes. There are no fans or AC inside, so if you are going for dinner sitting close to the entrance is your best bet.More
Authentic Italian food, great ambiance and excellent hospitality. Everyone is warm, welcoming and lovely - which is a rarity in Paris. We stumbled upon this gem last year and couldn’t wait to come back again this summer. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Highly recommend. Probably the best Italian spot in Paris. Delicious, fresh food. Cozy and intimate atmosphere. Will absolutely return and recommend!
Très bien! The food and service were fantastic! A drink spilled on one of our meals and the manager swiftly replaced it, although the spill was not their fault. The staff was helpful and friendly. The manager was very engaging and conversational. Prices were more...than reasonable especially for the quality. We had and recommend the spinach ravioli with black truffle cream sauce, seafood linguine, pasta carbonara and linguine bolognese. Our best meal in Paris.More
I have to say this was my favorite dining experience during my vacation. The restaurant is very charming and the service was impeccable. Everyone here was extremely kind and welcoming and the food was delicious. I HIGHLY recommend the coppa! The only negative thing I...have to say is that I'm sad that we discovered this g the day before leaving Paris. Also... Saalen is such a treasure!More
Al Caratello was the worst dining experience, by far, that we had in France over a four-week period. There were two primary issues, both mostly related to the service. First, when we arrived for dinner, there was only one other couple in the restaurant. Though...the restaurant did quickly fill up after we arrived, we still waited over one hour for our main courses to be delivered. We did (politely) ask about the status of our main courses after we saw several tables that arrived after us already on to dessert. The server went to check and returned shortly thereafter with our dishes, but with no apology for the delay whatsoever. Second, when we finally did get our main courses, the grilled vegetables on my wife's plate were cold - not lukewarm, but cold, as if they had been sitting there for quite some time. We asked (again, politely) if the grilled vegetables were supposed to be cold because ours were cold. The server simply said "no, they are supposed to be warm" and gave us a shrug with a look of "oh well, c'est la vie" and that was that. No offer to replace the vegetables and certainly no apology. The rest of the food was admittedly pretty good, but with all of the excellent restaurants in Paris (with friendly, caring service), I would certainly suggest looking elsewhere.More
Very good pasta place. Pizza is across the street. I got the Rigatoni with cream sauce tomatoes and prosciutto and it was AMAZING. Parents got the ravioli bolognese and it was also amazing. Good vibes and great food! (They only have pasta though if you...want the pizza or meat you have to go across the street)More
