Little gem in the heart of quartier latin, good prices, tasty French food, the best soupe a l'oignons ever and a fantastic waiter.

Fantastic atmosphere and decor. The service is fantastic. (We love Tony the maître d'!) Warm and fun kitchen and wait staff. Only about ten tables, so very personal feel, each dish is cooked to order in an open kitchen. Great food. Definitely try the artichoke...More

One of the best dining experiences in Paris. You'll be welcomed into this charming space in the Latin Quarter with warmth and hospitality. Tony is a kind server and even thought to take my jacket, hat and offer recommendations. The staff operates from a petite...More

Excellent little find. Limited menu but very good food; limited wine list but good selection and great ambience. Thoroughly recommend.

So not much to choose from which is Ideal. This means they can concentrate on quality rather than quantity. Food was very good. Especially the Mushroom and blue cheese bake. Great to dip the bread into, which is freshly baked and steaming when it arrives...More

If french cuisine and atmosphere is the purpose of your meal, Artemis is a very good choice. Simple, honest and traditional all the way.

This is a very cozy restaurant, with an intimate atmosphere and attentive staff. I have dined a lot around Paris, and this place has one of the best fois gras I have ever had (home made). This is also a good place to try frog...More

A family restaurant on the rue Mouffetard, a few steps from the Contescarpe. Traditional French cuisine. It is always a pleasure to find a good quality restaurant in the Latin Quarter. For many reasons, we enjoyed Les Jardins d’Artemis. There are several fixed price menus,...More

Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life,
architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The
small streets are filled with classical buildings,
student bars and lively eateries while the squares are
dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined
by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin
once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which
celebrates the great men and women of France. During

Ate here on Dec. 26, 2015. The food was mediocre. A man came in alone and was seated at a table away from ours. He then moved to a table next to ours. (I was seated with my back to him) He then left in a huff very abruptly and quickly. When I got back to our hotel, I realized my credit card and Euros had been stolen. About $400 in charges had been made at various tabacs in the 2 hours the card had been stolen. I have traveled extensively for many years and am very cognizant of my possessions at all times. This guy was good. The only waiter in the restaurant would leave the restaurant, step outside and disappear from view about every 5 minutes while we were there waiting for service. Odd.....I'd avoid this place in the future. Any other experiences like this one?
