This is in the Japanese area in Paris. Closest metro- palais royale Musee Du louvre..good food little more expensive than the other Japanese restaurants in the area but worth it. You will have to wait in a queue to enter..don't think they take reservations..

Kunitoraya is situated in area full of other Japanese restaurants, but they are by far the more authentic. The tempura batter is really good but unfortunately the quality of the prawn is very average. There is always a line up. If you crave a hot bowl of udon, this is the place.

Having traveled through Asia and North America, I would not expect that the best udon I've ever had would be had in Paris. We came here on the recommendation of friends and were not disappointed. There was a long line for tables. We waited. We were ushered in and squeezed into a narrow table by the windows. We ordered, and... More

I used to travel a lot to Tokyo and Nagoya and I loved ghe food and the culture. Well, thanks to this place, I felt like I traveled back to this beautiful country. I had veggie tempura and Udon and enjoyed it very much. Expect a long wait, this is a popular amongst tourists and locals who are looking for... More

One of the Trip Advisor images is of Udon Jubey! Be warned: Kunitoraya is on Rue Villedo...but both have queues!!! Okay, we arrived at 1845 on a Sunday evening, were first in line and were quickly joined by a dozen people by 1900. Once seated, service wasn't rushed, even with the growing queue outside. This place can get very warm... More

Don't be afraid by the waiting line and come in to enjoy one of the best place in Paris for Udon. If you like to enjoy it in a smoother way, try the Kunitoraya 2 in the same street. Wonderful old style bistrot with a delicate service.

I went alone for a dinner around 8pm. Waited for 10 min outside, and was not cold because you have a heater above. Someone had a problem eating alone, but I did not. I sat alone and never had to move. I had a glass of beer(comes with FOC edamame), hiyayakko(cold tofu) and warm tempura udon and it was 30... More

The food is good, the portions a bit on the small side and slightly over-priced, the Tempura at 20 euro is very expensive for what it is. The big disappointment with this place is the air-conditioning, you come out stinking of fried food, really stinking like you live in a fish and shop. I do not think I have eaten... More

The area has many udon restaurants but on a Sunday only a few are open. We went early but still had to queue. Supposedly one of the best and they really were. We shared a Katsudon, an Udon with tempura and an Udon with duck all washed down with a Kirin Beer. The noodles were perfectly cooked and the tempura... More
