Before my trip to Paris I had never had macaroons before. Pierre Hermé was probably the best and worst start. Best because the flavors were amazing and the selection interesting. The worst because I will probably not experience any macaroons this great in a long...More

the macarons here, when fresh, are the way macarons should be...light and airy cookie with chewy center. Wow, the flavors!!! I loved every one of them and bought many to bring home. A must place to get the best macarons in Paris!!!

A little different from the flavors I'm used to in the US, but these did not disappoint! I dont even know what that tub of stuff is we got but it tastes like what I expect the original nutella to be!

After trying macarons from multiple places, Pierre Herme was by far our favorite. Some great flavors and some of our favorites were rose and vanilla with saffron. The macarons were so soft and delicate. By far our favorite shop in Paris.

In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic
and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is
dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops,
ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants.
Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine
art school and small museums hide in unassuming
squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the
oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented

As was said, it is a chocolate and pastry shop, not a restaurant. The pastries are "works of art." They are not inexpensive, but as the saying goes - you get what you pay for. I would suggest going there just to look at... More
