Best macaroons by far. Much better than Laudoree. Very unique flavors. I pretty much tasted them all and they're all extremely good!

We got four macaroons for €8.40 - so a bit on the pricey side, but they were undoubtedly the best macaroons I have ever eaten! Also unusual flavours available - we got an olive oil and orange macaroon which was delicious!

The best macarons in the world are made here, no doubt! Apart from their lovely macarons, I also like their Tarte Infiniment Vanille. A Parisian must.

I was here for a patisserie dedicated weekend, but I was slightly disappointed I was craving to try the original macaron hispahan to find it instead a bit 'commercial' and serial... I had tried its copied is shops around Paris and around the world, and I found many of them superior

There is always a line outside Pierre Herme at its rue Bonaparte shop (which is one of the few which include pastry), and its completely justified. On a recent weekend visit to Paris, we decided to head over to the left-bank and order a few of their cakes - the lemon tart, vanilla tart and the dark chocolate & vanilla... More

On my first day, on my first trip to Paris, I happened by this location and thought I would go in to see what they had. I bought a couple of macarons and chocolates to take back to my hotel. Well, one bite of each and it became a habit (that was in 2008). I went back towards the end... More

The cakes here are something else, well worth joining the queue for. They also have delicious chocolates and macaroons

Wow. Delicious and unique (fancy and expensive) macrons. Kids had sweet, chocolate, caramel and one made of roses, wife had dark chocolate and I had the foie gras. Yep, foie gras macron. Highly recommended just off the Marais.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
