Best patisserie we had in Paris! The service was great! You can sit with your patisseries in the cafe next to the shop. Great place to buy chocolate souvenir s.

Pierre Hermes have the best macaroons I've ever had. If you're in Paris you have to stop here and get a sample box. Also they have more creations that you can choose from.

We walked pretty far to get to Pierre Herme and enjoyed the macaroons we purchased. The flavors are very unique and everything tasted very fresh. A box of 7 macaroons cost us 18 Euros which seemed expensive for what we received; however, we felt it was worth it. The boxing is beautiful and we had fun sampling all the flavors... More

WOW. These macarons are just on another level. I thought Laduree was amazing, these are even BETTER. I also tried the Plaisir Sucre and I felt like I died and went to heaven. Definitely pricey, but I think it's worth the money. I can't wait to go back and eat everything else :)

Heard from people it's a must to eat macaroons here. The macaroons were very good, with many flavor to choose from, however it was 2.2euros for one macaroon, and they weren't big. It's nice to try, just don't make dinner out of it ;)

Being in Paris, we HAD to find some legitimate macarons. We were in the area and found Pierre Herme on TripAdvisor. There was a short line upon arrival. Most of the hold up is due to the staff (which was fluent in English AND friendly... hard to come by in France) explaining the unique flavors of their macarons to the... More

This is going to be a very brief and accurate review ---- the best Macaron anywhere, is made by Pierre Hermé. Doesn't really matter what location you are able to visit while in Paris, the quality and flavor of their macarons does not deviate at all. They are a must when the urge hits to indulge in a decadent dessert.

I've been going there for 10 years whenever I'm in Paris. Still has the best macarons. The price are steep, but definitely worth it.

This tiny shop consistently presents some of the finest pastries in Paris, using the best ingredients. It looks more like a jewelry shop, in fact, but much tastier.

This place has the best macarons that I have ever tasted. They are just absolutely amazing! The most difficult part of being here is selecting which macarons to purchase since they have such a wide variety! Whatever your taste buds or whatever you are in the mood for from roses to chocolate to pistachio they will have it! This is... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
