Good value for money for the quality you get, size of the meals were really good and the wine was just what you would expect in a French restaurant, full flavour with smooth finish. FYI if you get a desert go for the dark chocolate mouse cake it was divine!!!

We had dinner here tonight. The meal was nice, but not noteworthy. We did not have a reservation, but they found a place for us. The owner and staff were very nice. It was very busy, but the service was good. All in all, a good French restaurant.

We had dinner at A la Biche au Bois on a Friday evening. The restaurant is located close to Plaza de Bastille. The restaurant is really busy, but we got a table within a couple of minutes - we didn't have a reservation. The restaurant do not have a webpage, so you need to call them, if you want to... More

My wife and I visited this restaurant on our last trip to Paris. The dinner menu (€32 for starter, main, cheese, and dessert) was fantastic value. The food was very good - my wife's starter of white asparagus with leeks and a poached egg was simple but great - the leeks were delicious. My main of ribsteak with bearnaise sauce... More

We went there on our first night in Paris and what a way to get introduced to authentic French cuisine. This is a very small , intimate unassuming restaurant but the waiting lines go very long. A bit pricey too but the food and the ambiance is worth the money . Reservations ahead are a must if you want to... More

This restaurant makes us want to return to Paris...soon. Exceptional, classic French food, and a cozy, fun place. The owner/chef is warm and friendly. His specialty is game. My duck was so good, and getting duck right is not easy. The quality is superior and the price is reasonable, something not easy to find in Paris.

At 32.80€ for 4 courses, including an excellent cheese-board, this is top value. Add a good choice of dishes, daily specials, good friendly service and a buzzing atmosphere, and it's well worth top marks.

Made a reservation for 7pm, but the door was locked and curtain drawn until 7.15pm, not the best start. The menu was very meaty but had a good variety, the food was good, but the wine was disappointing. The cheese board was excellent (as you would expect in France). The atmosphere was nice and lively, and the decor worked well,... More

I was in Paris for a business trip with a colleague and we wanted to find a charateristic place to have dinner. It couldn't go any better than this: from the very start it was clear that this is was a locals favorite. The dining room was filled with an inviting smell, the ambient was a bit noisy but this... Definitely work this one into your schedule. Coq au Vin here was amazing!!!! I must admit I got a little bombed out on a French wine that I couldn’t pronounce. But I enjoyed every bit of this place. The owner spoke English, as did the staff. Although the place was jammed, they found a spot for me. The bread with... More
