The ambiance is ok, the food is just ok. The bread is pretty hard, definitely not a fresh baguette! Also the waiters are pretty rude! I was with my girlfriend who asked to change plates because the waiter spilled some liquid on it and he gave this outrageous comment: do you want me to change your panties as well? -... More

My friend and I were recommended this place as we both love cheese and wine and it's a bit quirky so we came along. We were greeted by the manager (a very funny guy) and even though the restaurant was pretty quiet we were seated right next a couple, which involved my friend climbing over the table to get into... I've gone to this restaurant every time I'm in Paris, and I have always had great service and food. Stepping over the table and signing the wall is all part of the charm of the tiny restaurant. Plus the wine baby bottles are hilarious, yet extremely practical with such a small space. I recommend getting there at least half an... More

I was there with my girlfriend and we had fondue and some wine. The meal was abundant and the wine was served in glass biberons, really funny! The atmosphere is funny too, although the service is not so nice. The prices are quite high for the quality of the food that we had.

With so many great restaurants in the area there is no need to waste money on bad food. My children love fondu so it was an easy decision to go and I really didn't think fondue could be bad thus no need to check for a review. BOY WAS I WRONG!!! To begin the fondue was not good. Goupy cheese... More

LE REFUGE DES FONDUS... worst fondue in Paris..the cheese has become lumpy at the bottom and there was this liquid (disgusting) floating on top The two had separated... it was the most terrible experience of cheese u can ever have in Paris.. I DO NOT recommend anyone to even try it out.

Lots of fun in this crazy fondue restaurant. I have been there a couple of times during the last years. They have basically two things on the menu - cheese fondue en meat fondue. Since I don't eat meat the cheese is ok - and you get a lot of little snacks to go with it. Drinking wine out of... More

We went here on Friday night, couldn't get in until 11 at night. cosy place you have to climb over the table to sit on one side of the table. Funny but Great atmosphere. Set menu is €20 for starter which is a selection of olives, gherkins and something .. As well as fondue, which they have meat or cheese.... More

When you walk into this restaurant there is no menu - you just get two choices: red or white wine & cheese or meat fondue. The fondue (although I only tried the cheese one) was not amazing. It's definitely more about the atmosphere. It's tiny and the owner insists on helping (only female) patrons climb over the tables to get... More

Cool vibe, long table, strictly fondue. This place tends to be crowded so be early. The food is quite average. I wasn't impressed by the cheese fondue menu, which didn't include meat. Fun thing is the drinking part. One gets a baby drinking bottle which is filled up with red or white wine. Unlimited refill but poor quality. In all... More

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
