Great small restaurant with no English accents. Typically French food and good but limited selection of wines. I had soup followed by boudin blanc - both nicely presented but a little on the creamy side. Service is friendly and efficient.

Cycled across town from the 8th ARR on the Paris city bikes with my parents to this wonderful quaint little french restaurant. The service was excellent, the food brilliant, and wine was great too. Will be sure to visit again next I'm in Paris.

We were there between Christmas and the New Years Eve. The staff was very kind and swift, the house wine very good, and the plates we tried delicious: especially pate de foie, a smoked mackerel, and a plate based on coquille Saint-Jacques. Prices could be better, however.

When you first get in to this place you can be a bit thrown by the odd fusion dynamic and preference for offal-based food! Look beyond the service, though, and the place does brilliant seafood, often in lovely soups, at a very reasonable price and with some fantastic desserts. It gets pretty busy, and I am not surprised! On the... More

Been accustomed to Asian centric dishes , we've always found that most continental food tend to lack in taste. We decided to visit this place based on the reviews from fellow travellers . We had the pike dumpling, duck breast and scallops. With wine the bill came up to 80 euros . Don't get me wrong , the food was... More

We walked from the Seine to the end of Rue Monge looking Au Bon Coin. It was more than worth the trip. The quenelle was light and wonderful. My wife ordered Pate de Canard and Souris d'agneau. The lamb shank and pate were just "devine". I ordered my favorite, Ris de Veau which were the best I ever had.

We came here following some positive comments read online and we were not disappointed. Good, easy going and simple but tasty and respectful of french tradition. We got the appertizer+plat+dessert for 19.90 and had: eggplant with ricotta and salad, roasted chicken with brussels sprouts and mushrooms and baked apple with hazelnut ice cream. The staff was very efficient and cordial... More

Arriving in Paris we chose to eat near us in the Latin quarter and chose au bon coin- a good choice based on TripAdvisor reviews. We were seated right away and just ordered wine and plates - both specials for the night at 21euro The duck breast was served on a bed of spinach with roasted figs - the largest... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
