Wow wow wow!! Our anniversary at Lucas Carton was exceptional and heaven sent. We loved Julien Dumas's cooking so much that we went back for dinner that very same day. Forward thinking, heaven sent. Romantic atmosphere, attentive and knowledgeable staff unbelievable Gastronomy gastronomy gastronomy!! Hats off to Alain Senderens's brilliant choice in Julien Dumas! La crème de la crème of the French cuisine. The new chef Julien Dumas is ready to rise in a sky full of stars... We went there last night; my wife to be, my daughter & the god daughter of my future wife to enjoyed a birthday diner. From start to finish, perfect welcome, perfect wine, perfect food, perfect service... More

Lunch was great : fresh, origjnal and tasteful cuisine, nice wines, wonderful art deco setting. However, the price of it all (+ 200 EUR/person) heavily taints the experience. I don't think i will be back.

Next door to the very posh Lucas Carton , you have "Le marché de Lucas" much cheaper and though very high quality . For a romantic dinner in a Bourgeois venue with few tables (reservation a must) . Cooking is excellent and the menu (45 euros for 3 courses) is a gift. You will feel very priviledged to dine in... More

I still have very fond memories of one of my first 3 Michelin starred meals at Lucas Carton back in 2001. Given that so many years had since passed and the restaurant, which now has a new chef, was awarded a Michelin star in February this year, I decided to go there again. I took the tasting menu with wine... More

I've been to this restaurant when it was Sanderens which was very good. I went back there recently this month. And the decor and ambience changed since now it's lucas carton. Food was so so, not that wow as it was. The worst thing was the restaurant manager who was very arrogant. We asked for the tea and they served... More

We booked this classical and well known restaurant, read the story from the past, new chef, worth a try. Read about the good thing to start in the bar, so we did, very small 4 seatings, liquor was ordinary, bartenders two were surprised when we showed up, so we waited some time, then 4 cocktails were ordered all ok, not... They were very welcoming to our walk in party. The staff was not at all stiff for a Parisian Michelin star restaurant. The format is a bit different. It is basically set up to pair wines by the glass with the different menu choices. The wines were good and the dishes were up to the rating standard. Quantities were a... More

Description
Senderens restaurant in Paris with stunning views toward the church of the Madeleine (Da Vinci Code fans take note) is one of the citys most important restaurants, replete with history and full of exciting modernity. Originally opened in 1890, taken over and redecorated in true Art Deco style in the 1920s, it operated as three-star Lucas Carton until 2005 when chef Alain Senderens gave back the stars, changed the name and transformed the dcor and menu to create this stylish, informal restaurant. The beautiful Art Deco carvings remain, but now the tables are free of starchy linens, the service is relaxed and the dishes are innovative and exotic. Veal tartare with langoustines and rice noodles is stunning, as is the Racan pigeon stuffed with crab meat and poached in Qi Lan tea. The cellar remains a high-end experience. For elegant, sleek, exciting dining in the heart of town, Senderens will delight you.
