We went by multiple times between 3/16/17 and 3/21/17 and the concierge at our hotel called. There has been no response and there is no indication the restaurant is open There are no signs on the door about vacation, etc. and no menus posted.

We were in Paris for 5 days and ended up having diner there twice. Outstanding traditional French food. The Goose Confit (confit d'oie) and the foie gras were delicious. And so many choices on the menu. Ask for the special Cognac as a digestive, it is made by the owner's family and it is so good. Si vous passez par... More

Took a trip to this restaurant at the recommendation of our hotel and exceeded our expectations. The owner was hands on, accommodating, witty, funny but most of all a food genius. You have to have the scallops. The presentation is amazing. We will be back

Exceptional in every way !! We had the wild duck and specially-prepared hare cooked in a way that few chefs know how to do at this level. The restaurant is a nice size and comfortably-lit, and the sheer pleasure of banter with the host... who has an amazing sense of humor... all together made for a fantastic evening of food/dining... Cozy, romantic place (could have used spme soft music, but no complaints). Friendly and helpful staff, awesome food. I had the wild duck, very nice! Crepe suzette desert, great wine. The topper was the family cognac, so wonderful, must try.

We had planned to take night photos with the Eiffel Tower as backdrop near the Trocadero Metro stop and afterward wanted to have a fine dining experience nearby. Restaurant Paul Chene was a superb choice with which we could not have been more pleased. Reservations are essential as there are only six tables. Howard (professional, personable and possessing a fine... More

We were recommended this restaurant by the concierge at Le Dokhan's hotel, and we are so glad we went! The place itself is intimate and very traditional. Set among quieter streets, it may be easy to miss. However, I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The menu, although seemingly small, is that of the highest quality. The food was delicious, absolutely... More

When we are in Paris, we always make it a point to dine at Paul Chene. The food is fabulous, both in taste and presentation. I usually have the coquilles saint jacques; and my husband often has the chateaubriand Rossini. The crepes Suzette for dessert are a must - I never have them anywhere else, because they are never as... More

Staying in Trocadero

Neighbourhood Profile
Trocadero
This is the neighbourhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendour, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.
