Went here with some parisian friends to celebrate a birthday, and we were pleasantly surprised at the combination of great food, good service and decent prices. It was open Monday, which was a plus, and there was plenty of air, another plus on a hot...More

The last thing we expected dinning in Paris is to be disappointed! Well we were. The preparation of the food was quite OK, but the quality of the ingredients, specifically the meats, were below expectation. The veal was chewy and very fat. Everything was way too...More

This was the best food I had in 3 days in Paris. The real-deal classic country-French cooking perfectly prepared. Also a stellar wine list and excellent service on the wine (somewhat bored-seeming with the food). BUT. This is on an out-of-the-way and very shabby street...More

I was somewhat apprehensive because unlike many other Paris restaurants, reservations must be made by phone, not by email. Still, this method has worked for decades and worked well for us. As tourists we were impressed with the number of French speaking guests. English menus...More

Le Villaret is easy to walk by on a street full of restaurants, but stop to look at the reviews and awards placed modestly in the window. Better yet, eat there! They go well beyond the bistro standards with creative dishes using excellent ingredients, carefully...More

Granted, Jim and I are not foodies. Still, we do one splurge per city visited. Le Villaret was our Paris splurge. This was quite the best meal we have had in years. From the amuse bouche, a custardy mushroom dish, to our dessert, we enjoyed...More

We got a last minute booking for late on a Saturday evening (22.00). We were squeezed onto a small table very close to other diners but our doubts were soon removed by the attention of the staff. We were quickly served drinks, always a good...More

We arrived without reservation and immediately made welcome. We were talked through the menu and a meat course (veal sweetbreads) which we were not too enthusiastic about was willingly substituted. Service was impeccable, the food and presentation was outstanding. A comprehensive wine list completed the...More

An old haunt for me but one that has always had quality as a top priority. The cuisine has changed as tastes change and the classic cream and butter french cuisine has made way for a much lighter variant these days with terrific results. Everything...More

We were welcomed even though we had no reservation. The room was tastefully modern and both the host and wait staff warm and helpful. My enjoyed the lobster menu , while I cannibalized a wild duck with figs.

Bastille / Oberkampf
Bastille and Oberkampf are lively parts of town made
for entertainment. During the day rows of unassuming
bars welcome customers for a bite or a drink, but it’s
at night this area really comes to life. Students and
young professionals fill the busy bars around Bastille
and Oberkampf. At Place de la Bastille, crowds flock
to the Opéra Bastille in the evening and groups wait
for coveted tickets during the day. Towards

If you google the restaurant you'll see the menu. I can't see anything vegetarian amongst the mains, but they'd probably put something together for you if you ask.
