Nice building, ok food, but unfortunately the staff is unfriendly and quite arrogant. Would not recommend.

Standard brasserie cuisine, lovely views of the Bourse. Service is a tad slow but the food is good. All the classic dishes, well prepared.

Had the inclusive 3 course menu which was so nice that we returned the following evening. The staff are very friendly & efficient, especially the young waitress who served us on our 2nd visit.

I've been going to this restaurant for years, because it has a beautiful art-deco dining room and has always served reliably decent--if never excellent, traditional French brasserie cooking. This last visit was a catastrophe, however. First of all, I just don't get the menu--it's way too complicated and way too expensive. Why not serve dishes like smoked salmon and onion... More

My daughter, wife and I had the dinner set for NYE. Although the food was very good and was very fancy the server was not the best we had during this trip. It was a set meal at €129/person and included wine. We told the waiter that my wife would not drink the wine so we got her a Coke... More

Traditional, old French service, looks lovely inside. Food and drink very expensive which I don't mind if it is good. My husband and I shared some prawns for a starter which were good. I ordered rack of lamb with pomme Anna , some sweet potato purée and a few broad beans, this cost €34, my husband ordered some beef which... More

This brasserie is indeed a lovely place to dine! The staff was very helpful and smiley, and offered us the best services possible! The brasserie is famous for its seafood. We had some lovely dishes, and desserts (!), which were from the Christmas menu, and indeed we could not have asked for more! The place is very close from the... More

What a disappointment! Six of us celebrating Christmas in a very pretty restaurant were treated as unwelcome visitors. Our waiter treated us with measured hostility. The only person who smiled at us was the coat lady! We had to pour our own champagne and water. The food was average, certainly not of expected standard. The turbot was cold and flavourless.... It's well located in front of the wonderful "Bourse", the setting is nice with an art-deco style, the service is swift and professionnal and the wine list is a good quality-price ratio. But, but what you have in your plate doesn't match. We had "gigot 7 hours", it was way over-cooked and swimming in a kind of dull gravy sauce,... More

Situated right in the heart of Paris, the Vaudeville has built its excellent reputation on the quality of its cuisine and service. People like to come here to share traditional French cuisine and, in fine summer weather, enjoy the terrace a mere stone's throw from the Paris Bourse.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
