Really intimate venue, with friendly and attentive servers; and amazing food. Turned out to be a little gem when we stumbled across it.

They have really good quality for food!!, I have never thought we can find the good quality/price in Saint-Michel Paris because It's the touristic place and normally the restaurant have a bad quality and expensive price!! but le petite chatelet is really Ok, the only thing expensive in this place is wine, we ordered the red wine of the place(the... Every time I can go, I do it. The best good in the neighbourhood at an acceptable price. During winter months book upstairs next to window and view on the notre dame. For summer months I would suggest on the ground floor. The food is deliglcious and the service makes you feel appreciated and special. If you are in Paris,... More

Not only was the food very, very good, the staff was great! We do not speak French and they were incredible helpful in suggesting something we would like. Great location very close to Notre Dame. Has great outdoor seating as well as indoors. Definitely the best meal we had in Paris!

This place was amazing and provided the perfect French dining experience that we were looking for without breaking the bank! The two of us enjoyed wine, a shared appetizer, two entrees, and two desserts for under €100. A reservation wasn't needed, the waitstaff were extremely helpful and friendly, and they even had menus with English translations. This restaurant may be... More

Absolutely amazing. Highly recommend the escargot, the chicken supreme, the beef, and the creme brûlée. Wonderful view of Norte Dame if you are by the window

Came here because of a friend's recommendation. It's across the road from Notre Dame and next to the Shakespeare book shop. Best meal we had in Paris. It's a cosy restaurant with 2 levels and very friendly service. The menu doesn't have much English but the staff will translate for you so listen well. We had the snails (nice), some... More

On the left bank next to the bookstore Shakespeare a truly lovely little restaurant with friendly staff and unpretentious and tasty food.

We both ordered steak (filet and rib eye) and watched it being cooked over an open fire at the back of the restaurant. Both of our steaks were cooked perfectly and the sides were delicious. We enjoyed our meals with the very good house red!

A great little find in a sea of 'touristy' restaurants. The food was delicious and the atmosphere lovely. My cousin is vegetarian and although they didn't have any veggie mains (the one negative point I have - but it seems to be the case in most restaurants here) she was able to find a couple of suitable appetisers in place... Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
