This beautiful historic restaurant did not disappoint. We had a classic 3 hour gastronomic experience to remember. Wonderful wines, courses that never seem to end with stunning main dishes. I tried the lobster which was superb. Wait staff are very gracious and friendly, it's just fun to watch the place settings constantly rotating. We did it all including the cheese... More

I am told by french friends that "Ruineux" means "exceedingly expensive", well Le Grand Vefour gives you both (Champagne Ruinart and a bill that can be described as "ruineux" !), perhaps this is also because the restaurant belongs to ... Champagne Ruinart, part of the LVMH group, owned by well known French tycoon Mr. Arnaud Bernard (or the other way... More

Le Grand Vefour is a beautiful restaurant with a impressive history in the heart of Paris' Palais Royal complex. It used to have three Michelin stars, now reduced to two. The dining rooms are crowded with far too little space between the tables. There are many waiters but the distribution of responsibilities seems unclear to the guests and the management... More

Food was good, not perfect though. Service started out great and attentive and then deteriorated. We sat for nearly an hour waiting for the check. 2 people over 700 euros. Disappointed.

It is an luxurious, majestic restaurant. We ordered the fixed menu for lunch- it is 115€ for person. The meal include starter, main dish and dessert. In addition, We got numerous appetizers with the meal and cheese plate. Everything was special, unique and delicious!!!! The restaurant itself is a fantasticly decorated room in the Palais Royale and has an interesting history as the former Cafe where some of the French Revolution was planned. However it is trading on its past and is now show over substance. The staff are unfriendly and some are poorly trained. The food was variable and my foie gras was... More

The restaurant doesn't often open on Saturdays but for a few weekends a year, it does. Dinner, from the al la carte menu, was excellent. Service was great. A really good experience. The menu had no prices, which is quite classy.

Yeah.... NO! the waitress was nice, until we let the guy serving us know that the creme bruleè wasn`t anything. It looked like a veggie pie, it even had carrots and other veggies on the side. I would NEVER thought that it should be a cremè bruleè. They can be as fancy as they want.. it was just to much... More

Walked nearly 2 miles on a beautiful Paris morning to enjoy a feast of many flavors at this fine restaurant. The service was flawless and friendly. The wine recommendations were perfect. The surroundings were elegant.
