I have never posted any reviews before but I feel that this deserves a mention. My partner and I dined in for a quick meal we wanted to try the small portions of soufflé and some tea, however the waiter was not very friendly and patient with our order and must have put in the wrong size. We kindly notified... More

Great soufflés, nice ambiance, friendly and talented chef! Highly recommend the scallop soufflé - the lemon-butter sauce is exquisite. I live in Paris and eat out regularly. Take my word for it - the sauce is unforgettable! Roasted pineapple dessert soufflé also light and tasty! A restaurant definitely worth visiting.

I have been here now several times as I have never had such good souffles, I always like restaurants that specialize on one kind of dish only. The setting is also classy and simple which I also like, and the service friendly and professional. I do also agree that the prices are relatively steep, however. I still recommend it for... More

I was in Paris for the day (from the Netherlands) and specifically came to this place as it was rated one of the Top 50 places to eat in Paris by Conde Nast magazine (and then I realised they were getting commission from all their recommendations). I agree with several other reviews - the souffles were good, but not stunning.... More

An old favourite of mine. I hadn't visited the restaurant for many years but both the soufflés sales et sucrée were wonderful. My wife had a spinach soufflé and I had a fig and foie gras, followed by pineapple and grand marnière soufflés. All wonderful and unlike anywhere else. Service excellent

A very nicely decorated restaurant , where you can meet ( almost ) only locals . The chef came out to salute us in a very friendly way . There is an outside but covered area for smokers , so thoughful . Prices were in our budget range ( up to 30 euros per person ) . Raviolis were superb... More

Smart restaurant (some though not all were wearing ties) and a lot of money for a soufflé. The soufflé's were excellently done, but they must be turning a hefty profit here. The main difference between the soufflés were the sauces. Beautifully described in the menu but then a bit of a disappointment when the arrive in a small ramekin next... More

Cathie is absolutely a great place for soufflés in Paris. All soufflés, salt and sweet, are terrific. The restaurant is in a beautiful neighborhood and it is just the right place for lunch. A must is the cheese soufflé, the apricot soufflé and the spinach soufflé. Highly recommended. I was in Paris in summer 2015 and visited Recamier every single... More

Amazing Souffle. It is nothing like what I had from U.S. The service was great. I really recommend to try both savory and sweet souffle.

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
