This restaurant is honestly amazing! I went there on a Sunday on the last day of a trip with my French class. We got a group menu with a starter of salmon salad, a main course of duck and a chocolate cake to die for as dessert. The menu was 49 euros per person. The food was amazing but what... More

We ended up sitting in the back of the restaurant where a large party of locals were dining. It transpired they were from the local pétanque club and having their annual party. There was singing, dancing and live music. They guests couldn't have been more welcoming and insisted we joined in. Great local French food too - we both had... More

Beautiful French restaurant located in the Montmartre District. That being said you can only imagine how amazingly gorgeous this area is. Located at the very top of the hill offers a breathtaking view of Boulevard de Clichy & all its glory. On the hike up you will be inundated with artists, art works, souvenir shops, Parisians, peddlers and picturesque views!... More

Although Montmartre is very touristy, it's still charming and I still love the neighborhood very much. Right in the heart of the hustle and bustle is La Bonne Franquette, a welcoming and friendly restaurant to escape the crowds and either the heat or cold (for us it was the latter). I can't say enough how genuinely friendly our server was,... More

We stopped here for a Sunday lunch. At 12.00 it was fairly empty but filled-up later- booking advised for busier periods. A good choice of food and wine. We started with soup and marinated mackerel. Both very good and tasty. Mains were cod and duck confit. Excellent taste. Our waitress was friendly and helpful; she took great care to get... More

Ran into this place for lunch on our first day and has a wonderful meal of duck and Bourgogne stew. Prices were reasonable and the food was excellent.

Very good place in the heart of the suggestive Montmartre. It is just at few steps from the Artists' square. The onion soup was delicious. The price of the plates was appropriate. The waiter was very friendly and spoke also a bit of Italian. Cool!

Want a fun evening in Paris? Take the M12 to Montmarte; ride the funiculaire (cable car) or walk up to Sacre Couer; stop in for mass or a quick look in the historic church. Then climb their tower for 360 views of Paris. Then head down and walk to the west and stroll through the narrow cobblestone ancient streets of... More

We thought this would be a tourist trap, it was not. It is set in a lovely old building with a large dining area at the back, The walls are mirrored and the decor is old french. You can imagine people visiting in the past going to there to dine and dance.

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
