I have been to this restaurant a few times, last a few years back, and unlike some of the more negative reviews I was not surprised by the price or the vegetable party menu. No my issue is about the feeling of this place being stuck in a time warm, with dull food, as the English would call it "taking... More

Went to larpege during first visit to france with GF. Staff were very welcoming and charming. The tasting menu was superb. Each course kept us on the the edge of our seats as each delicious vegetable dish was brought swiftly to our table. The food was fantastic, great combination of flavours and textures and we loved the wine the waiter... More

L’Arpège has been something I avidly talked about for the past 2 years, a longstanding recommendation for my vegan, vegetarian, and even meat-loving friends. I am sad and disappointed to say that I will no longer speak about L’Arpège with an excited twinkle in my eye but will have to instead talk about the abhorrent service and uninspired food that... We enjoyed an exceptional seasonal lunch menu at L'Arpege. Every dish looked and tasted magnificent! The timing of the meal was just right and service was impeccable. Chef Alain Passard came out to greet us himself after our meal, which was truly an honor. This place deserves its great reputation!!!

This was a truly unique and amazing lunch. We had the Le Dejeuner des jardiniers. Course after course of the most beautiful and delicious vegetables I have ever eaten. Hands down, my favorite meal in France.

A review cannot do justice to the creative, perfectionist genius that is Alain Passard. Dining here is being in the presence of an artist of legendary proportion - our return visit again demonstrated that he merits his reputation as offering one of the top dining temples of the world of haute cuisine. Yet often he accomplishes his miraculous work by... More

L'Arpege has a big reputation and in most cases during my travels this normally leads to disapointment but not in this case. I would say that if anything it was understated in reputation. The food was outstanding, service sensational and the menu was exciting. It is worth a fourth star. Really!!

It is rare these days to find a restaurant of this level where the team (Maitre, waiters, hostes) reflect the personality of the chef that well and remains unpretentious. What an experience!!! Not only that he is there every night, but he will even serve the dishes himself or come to the table to comment on ingredients and his passion... More

The experience exceeded already high hopes and expectations. Firstly, the service : friendly, unassuming, yet very professional and knowledgeable. We went for the "a la carte" (not the tasting menu) and our choices largely seafood and vegetable based. Superb presentation and exquisitely prepared. The fish (turbot) was a particular stand-out. Our sommelier was excellent. Only 21 years of age but... More

We came here for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. The dining room was abuzz with people and we were shown to our table. We ordered the chef's surprise lunch and proceeded to have an absolutely phenomenal experience. Service was unobtrusive but perfect. The food was everything it was cranked up to be. Beautiful presentations, amazing tastes. Course after course of... More
