The menu is not large but with sufficient variety and good taste. It seems to be a very busy place so I would recommend making a reservation. Also, be careful that you don't mistake the address for Rue St. Honore which is also in the...More

Close to Tuileries gardens, it's a nice place with tables outside which is usual in Paris, as well as inside. The menu is limited, yet all they offer tastes great. Raviloli as a starter, cod fish, pollack with baby carrots and other season vegetables were...More

Everything is perfect. The menu changes with the seasons and each one is better than the last one. The food is out of ordinary.

We returned to this restaurant after having enjoyed it so much on our last visit to Paris. Our waiter Didier was still there and as engaging, attentive and polite as always. I started with the Lime Sea Bream Ceviche on Cauliflower puree with onion and...More

I asked our hotel to recommended a relaxed bistro as we wanted something authentic but not eye-wateringly expensive. L'Absinthe seemed perfect, on a bustling square it was lively and appetising smells wafted, it looked every inch the tucked away little French bistro we were hoping...More

We had fantastic food here. Warm asparagus salad, duck, and fish are all delicious. Lovely terrace for outdoor dining, very friendly waiters, great location. A very good address in Paris.

Very nice bistrot a couple of blocks off of Rue St. Honore one way and Rue l'Opera the other in a pedestrianized area. Decent number of seats outside and a decent number of seats inside. Escargot was delicious, the Rib steak with mashed potatoes was...More

On our hotel's recommendation my wife and I tried this cosy restaurant and were greatly pleased. Our food was creatively prepared to perfection of taste qnd quantity. The charming waiter was attentive and contributed to the fine atmosphere. prix fixe, but not exessively high priced.

Hello, we won't have a special menu for New Years Eve. It will be our usual « à la carte » menu with some specials on the blackboard. Best regards.

Description
L'Absinthe is a "bistrot de cuisinier", a cooks' bistrot, firmly modern. The menu is entirely created, tested and produced in the restaurant's kitchen. Every single task from the slicing of vegetables to the seasoning of sauces including the filleting of fish, is executed in situ from A to Z. Each dish conveys the creative family spirit at the rate of the seasons and inspired by their different journeys around the world. The restaurant's interior design will also make you feel this travelling and dynamic atmosphere: you will eat in setting which is a mix between a typical Parisian bistrot and a loft in New York.
