My mother had had lunch at Il Barone 17 years ago while living in Paris and had loved it, so she wanted to introduce me to it this trip. We are really serious foodies and love to eat different cuisines sometimes when in France, not...More

My husband and I were walking past and were intrigued by the Italian flair. Taking a walk inside, we were hooked with the sights and smells of Italy! We sat at one of the 3 small tables in the front so we could still be...More

Great Italian find in the Montparnasse area. It’s across the street from a highly rated bistro, but offers MUCH better service and attentiveness! Best to book a table, they fill up fast — we booked through thefork (TripAdvisor service), since the restaurant didn’t have an...More

I used to eat here when I lived in Paris as a student in the early 1980's, so on a recent trip, I decided to go back. What a delightful, authentic, Parisian dining experience. The current owner is the nephew of the original owner. He...More

You don't go there for the decor: cramped, very small. You better reserve ahead of time if you want a table. You will hear your neighbor conversation. But it won't matter, because the food will more than make for it. Tasty, delicious, plenty full, made...More

one of the really great Italian restaurants I have come across in Paris with very reasonable prices!! All pasta's were home made and out of this world! The Gnocchi was amazing!

Oh yes, this definitely feels like a "real" Italian restaurant in Paris. From the waitstaff to the delectably authentic cuisine, you are going to leave quite satisfied. The 20euro lunch menu is an absolute bargain -- today's minestrone accompanied by a bucatini alla amatriciana was...More
