Cozy and friendly atmosphere. As soon as you walk in, the air itself smelled so delicious. We had a bottle of Bordeaux, steak for 2, potatoes, salad, escargot, and creme brûlée for dessert. The potatoes were amazing and seasoned perfectly. We came here for the steak but the meat that was served to us was too rare for my taste... More

Excellent little restaurant in Les Marais - steaks are the feature - grilled up on an open fire. Try the pate or blood sausage as a starter. It was bustling on a Thursday night - and if you don't have a reservation, Robert will growl at you and send you on your way. Leave your attitude outside, the waiters have... More

This is a restaurant primarily for carnivores, featuring various cuts of beef, along with lamb. They use a wood-fired grill for cooking, which not only enhances the food, but adds to the ambiance. The steaks were good, but not among the best we've had in Paris (or in places like Kansas City, Chicago, New York or Calgary). What makes this... More

Had looked this up before we went & as we happened to walk past it we went in on Saturday lunchtime to see if they had a table. Tiny inside but looked quite cosy so made a booking for 7.15pm the following day. When we arrived on the Sunday a gentleman with whom we had made the booking said we... More

We had a lovely meal - meat off the grill was lovely, service awesome and the bill was reasonable for the quality of the meal. Would recommend!

Attention! Reservation is a must at least 1 week before your visit. Very well cooked, juicy meat and also starters are tasty. A must visit restaurant in Paris.

My wife and I have been here 3 times and enjoyed ourselves so very much. The staff is super, Robert and Louise and the best of the best. They are known for the beef but I love their treatment of duck. We prefer sitting upstairs. The show is as good as the food. We can;t wait to return the next... More

Found this place through a trip advisor search....and I'm so glad we did. The staff are really warm and friendly and add to the great atmosphere. The place itself is split over two levels..which makes it feel really comfortable and quirky. The food is epic. I had the t bone steak-rare..which was cooked perfectly. The quality of meat was also... More

Walked by during the day , loved the simplicity of the menu , grilled meats with potatoes/ salad and booked for the evening . Like many smaller places , tables are close or shared . We got a table near the fireplace/ stove and watched the fire in action on the meat. Rare steak was tasty , wine was very... More

Over a wood fire are grilled a variety of red meats for the those looking for a hearty meal. Portions are generous. Best if you have a reservation in this Marais District gem as it is frequented by many tourists and locals alike. Close seating, overflow goes to a very crowded lower level that looks authentically like a 1600's basement.... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
