we liked the look of Chex Prune and dropped in for a warming coffee near lunch time and loved the look & feel of the place. They were opening & selling oysters outside the front door and after a good coffee and a look at...More

We came to have a look at the Saint-Martin canal area and, naturally, came by this famous cafe. As we also found an empty table at this trendy, busy corner, why not eat? Service fine, food average, September sun, so a pleasant Sunday lunch. Still,...More

We have been there many times over 10 years and there is a timeless charm about this place. Brunch is very popular so it is sometimes difficult to get a table but it is so Paris that it is worth waiting for if you have...More

Had Sunday brunch with family and friends. Options for mains are limited : ham with cheese on a toast or smoked salmon but both are excellent. The potatoes are deliciously done and the vinaigrette for the salad special too. Decor is that of a traditional...More

Scruffy looking restaurant but packed to the rafters the day we went for lunch. Good menu that changes daily. I had the chicken and lemon casserole with courgettes, chicken just fell off the bone, all gooey and unctuous. My son had the fish with bulgar...More

Was in an out so quickly I hardly had time to absorb the experience, however the food was absolutely tasty. The wine was superb ...even if I did just order a glass of merlot. The service was friendly and fast, totally not what one expects...More

Adjacent to the Canal St. Marten, stopped in for a glass of wine and some cheese. I cannot think of a better place to chill on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. A chill Höl joint for people watching and conversation.

Popped in here for a brunch before checking in to an apartment. Had a bit of time to kill so went for a coffee and, as the croissants had all gone, had a tartine instead. Came as half a baguette, buttered. No jam/marmalade. I then...More

Canal Saint-Martin
The tree-lined Canal Saint-Martin is the focal point
of one of the most romantic and hip areas of Paris.
Watch boats travel along the canal while lovers and
friends take in the atmosphere from the banks or the
bridges. Evenings see hoards fill the embankments to
drink wine and enjoy good company. The colder days
lead people to hipster bars, cozy restaurants, and
concert spaces. Those who are more adventurous may

I'd be really surprised if it wasn't. This is not a posh restaurant. It services a lot of locals so I should think it is open all year round.
