I have visited this restaurant numerous times and never been disappointed. The salmon is fantastic. This restaurant has a great patio to enjoy the breeze and people watching or a crisp white table cloth interior. Its a must do when we are in Saint Germaine....

We are here knowing it was a tourist trap, but we certainly didn't expect to leave with food poisoning. My husband ordered the steak tartare, and was sick almost immediately after with sweats, and other digestive unpleasantries that needn't be explained. I had the croque monsieur which was the worst I've ever had! It was basically two pieces of smushy... More

Magots is more then just a coffee shop or a restaurant. It is kind of taste of Paris. Just order anything you like from the menu, seat back and enjoy the atmosphere. Fantastic.

It is a very good cafe and nice spot to start a day with a heavy breakfast or relax with a quick lunch. Extensive menu to choose from and good food. Outside seating was perfect and it made a good starting point for us couple of times

I never miss having breakfast at les Deux Magots every time I am in Paris. True to the Parisian tradition, the comprehensive breakfast will not disappoint my taste buds. Always amazing bread butter and jam and eggs cooked to perfection. Of course it's overpriced but splurging in such a quality meal is totally worth it!

The staff was great, food was delicious and the location was perfect for people watching! Several reviews said it was "touristy" but we did not find that at all - we were surrounded by locals!! It was the perfect place to spend our last evening in Paris!!

Stopped by after many hours of walking St Germain. Staff spoke both English & French which was nice but unnecessary as we're bilingual. Service was prompt, friendly and food was good. Only pain point was when lady brought dessert tray and my daughter ordered a small pastry....which turned out to be 16 EUR! Ridiculously overpriced for a pastry Worth a... More

We visited in a sunny and hot day so we sat outside. I drank the hot chocolate(7,50€) and my partner a cappuccino(7,3€) .The chocolate was so real and authentic! We will definitely visit it again!

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
