It was the right decision to go to Brasserie Lorraine for dinner. We were tossing up between a simple bistro meal or fancier seafood restaurant for our last night in Paris. It proved to be a good decision. The brasserie is upmarket but not too...More

We went there with our kids and it was a good experience. Seafood was great. The service was very kind. I wouldnt suggest red meat there as what i ordered came tasteless and with nerves showing. The ambiance is also great. Overall good choice for...More

Just got into our Hotel and sought the Concierge's advice on a good place to dine on a Sunday. He recommended Brasserie Lorraine and a grand recommendation it was. The staff were extremely forgiving of my limited French and assisted us in choosing a delight...More

Good location, large resturarant with a modern flare. We were out walking at dinner time and decided to stop in ...as it was crowded. If you enjoy oysters this may be your place as the majority of people were eating them. I ordered the salmon...More

A large street corner restaurant, with a broad menu, though an emphasis on sea food. We were accommodated easily without reservation on a Friday. Good service. My wife enjoyed the oysters. I had calf's liver which was nicely prepared. We would readily return, though it...More

We had the pleasure of dining here with a large group of 70 people. The restaurant was capable of accommodating us when flooding on the Seine cancelled another activity. Of course that was with some advance notice. We were provided a set menu for the...More

After a slow start, when we arrived with 8 people without reservation and restaurant seemed to be at a loss to know how to deal with a large number of English speaking guests, they kicked into high gear to provide good service. The meals were...More

We were stuck on what to do for our last night in Paris - do we do a cafe and save money, or go out for one more splurge? We made the right decision by coming the Brasserie Lorraine. The restaurant offers what they call...More

Description
Brasserie La Lorraine restaurant right on Paris Place des Ternes near the Etoile offers a visit to another era, an elegant, superbly stylish one at that. Since the 1930s Brasserie La Lorraine has been one of the capitals landmarks, and it retains its fabulous Art Nouveau interior with hundred year-old mosaics, crystal chandeliers, sleekly styled seating and detailing (think ocean liner of the Noel Coward era and you wont be far off). The classic brasserie menu features fine ingredients in dishes like fresh oysters, grilled entrecote with barnaise and pommes frites, and babas au rhum, though the seafood is renowned for its excellence. Theres a terrace and everything is service with the personal touch.
