It is fine to stop for a drink or a meal and it is well located. The service was good when we went. The waiter was helpful with my son's request. I have the hamburger with a fried egg, my son the same without the...More

Apparently one of the older brasseries in Paris, located at the western tip of Ile Saint Louis. Good location with open views close to the Seine and the pedestrianized Pont St.Louis. We stopped here for an afternoon drink, had a Mützig beer and a coke...More

After a wonderful, but hot and sultry day wandering the streets of Paris, we stopped here for a well deserved beer. After waiting 20 minutes for service whilst the waiters stood around looking cranky and avoiding eye-contact, we left. We bought beers at a fraction...More

My wife and I ate here recently and enjoyed a dinner on the sidewalk overlooking the back of Notre Dame. The cheese plate was good as was the wine, and my wife loved her Sole, but I got the German sausage platter with sauerkraut and...More

Unfortunately when we ask ice-cream, we expelled by waiters from the "La Brasserie de l'Isle Saint-Louis, 55 Quai de Bourbon." Administrator of the La Brasserie de l'Isle Saint-Louis should be punished immediately. They do not worthy of Paris.

My family and I visited this restaurant for lunch. Easily the worst meal we ate in Paris. The menu is expensive for below average food. I paid over 20 euros for a "steak" which looked and tasted like the worst hamburger beef patty I've ever...More

This is a nice, sunny, sidewalk cafe near Notre Dame Cathedral. I had the omelet fromage. A grandfather and grandson were playing accordion at the end of the bridge. The world passed gracefully by. It was a nice experience.

I have been invited by Parisians in this typical brasserie, serving very nice food, cooked to perfection. As the owner said, everything comes fresh and from various producers. And this is understandable when you taste the various plates. The service is professional and friendly and...More

We stopped in for a very early dinner after a tour of Notre Dame. We speak no French, and the staff spoke almost no English, but they brought us an English menu and we got through with pointing and smiles. My husband ordered the plate...More

Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very
heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité,
sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of
Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the
site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held
before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic
Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the
Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island,

Description
The Brasserie was established in 1870 and has been serving continuously since. It has become a Paris tradition, for Parisians and other friends from all over the world. The decor has been kept and the traditional french food is authentic and home made with only fresh products. Located in the most romantic and beautiful area, on the small island by Notre Dame right in the heart of the old Paris. The Brasserie will welcome you in a warm and cosy Parisian atmosphere in winter, while in summer you will enjoy a drink or a meal as well as the island's famous Berthillon ice cream on the terrace with its magnificent view of Paris. We serve from noon to 11pm (close on Wednesdays) and we do not take reservations so come whenever you want. We hope that you will enjoy our restaurant and we hope to see you soon.
