Stopped in for lunch before walking through the Galleries Vivienne. I had a duck and sweet potato dish that was delicious. Finished up with the decadent chocolate mouse (for Americans- it's like a creamy fudge). It was unique being able to sit "outside" in the Gallerie under the heat lamps.

Very pleasant building with friendly and outgoing staff. Meal wasn't up to a good standard for me as it was a Vegetarian Risotto which was so sticky it stuck to the roof of my mouth and teeth. I don't normally drink during a meal but in this instance I had to so that my palette was kept clear. Toilets weren't... More

I had a lunch rib eye steak and a fillet for dinner. The rib eye was excellent and was a large amount of food, served with French fries and a small salad. The fillet I asked for medium rare and was a little undercooked for my standards. Atmosphere is very cute.

It is close to Galerie Vivienne, which is like Galerie Lafayette, but smaller. The place environment is really cool typical french bistrot, and the waitress was from French Guine, soo nice to us! Spoke french and english so, that is helpful although we could speak french. We ordered the raw ham with aurugula, mushroom risotto, and beef. Definitely recommend it!!... More

This restaurant is very conveniently situated in small street about five minutes stroll from the Palais Royal - it has a typically French feel to it - the menu is extensive and helpfully presented in both English and French. Aside from the A la Carte there is also a Menu du Jour and some specialities. The wine list is quite... More

While exploring several of the 19th century covered passages in the 2nd arrondissement, we stopped for our main meal at this comfortable bistrot at the start of Passage Vivienne. My partner had a baked pasta dish with ham, mushrooms, cheese and a tasty sauce. I ordered duck and sweet potatoes, which arrived as a casserole of shredded duck between two... More

If you are staying Paris and would like to try real French cuisine this is about This Place!! Very delicious and authentic. However, if the waiter forget to attend you later don't worry!!! I have been waiting for plate of cheese around 40 min almost. And Yes, it pissed me out. Good food and bad service => does deserve it... More

The Bistrot Vivienne has been one of our favourites, we live in Paris and my wife (who is French) and I had gone there for her birthday, and sat outside and had a fine time. Our waitress had the misfortune of having her phone stolen right out of her hand as she smoked a cigarette on the corner near the... More

This is a very well know bistrot inside Vivienne Galery, which is worth the visit just to see the gallerie and probable coffee and drinks which are OK. Service is good, but food is not what you expect. We hade the vegetarian disho, with no taste at all, and the meat italian tartar that I ended up adding mustard myself....Maybe... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
