The coffee is excellent firstly, nicely served with a glass of water and a cookie. Service is excellent. You should have a light lunch here with a famous Parisian bread, the wine offer is very good. A good corner location and you may watch all...More

We got here actually looking for another place recommended by TA to get famous "tartines", but since that place was closed we ran into Au Sauvignon, and ended up being a perfect experience of the French cafe! With nothing but parisians at the restaurant you...More

It wasn't our plan to go there, but it was raining and we passed by, so this bar was our first choice. We had only coffee and it was good, but a little bit overpriced for us. Staff was really nice and helpful.

Just don't go there!!! It is an "has been place". I lived in Saint-Germain-des-Prés for 30 years, and it used to be good. Now it is just what you call " un piège à touristes", or what French would say of: Un endroit pour les...More

We stopped by for coffee and people watching, and were greatly rewarded. Saint Germain is particularly interesting in this area with just a scattering of tourists. The coffee was great, service was pleasant and attentive, and we enjoyed the break.

I enjoyed a lovely glass of wine and some light snacks here while cooling my heels in between stores in Saint Germain - I loved the wine list, which had a nice amount of variety and the waiters provided a very healthy pour (always a...More

Au Sauvignon was recommended by a friend. We went there specifically because they serve Sancerre wine from Domaine du Pre Semele, the family vineyard of my friend. We ordered a platter of "sandwiches" - bread sliced from the large loaves baked at Poilane, and filled...More

I believe it was 1969 when I first visited Au Sauvignon and have been stopping by every few years since as it is just around the corner from our apartment on the Rue du Cherche-Midi. It seems to be very much the same as it...More
