A very authentic Mexican bistro. I went here on Thursday evening with my fiancée and the place was full. There is seating both inside and outside available. The crew is Mexican and they make really authentic food (as confirmed by my fiancée who lived in Mexico). I can highly recommend tacos and quesadillas. The service is very friendly. At first we were sitting inside but they offered us a place outside as soon as it became free. I can definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes Mexican food.

We went on Friday night, it was packed but we manage to sit on the terrace. Food was great, actually I loved the beans tacos and the frozen margaritas. Friendly waiter (the girl) and not so friendly bar tender but it was good! I will go back for sure!

Staff is lovely and native Spanish speakers. This is a lovely bar with a true desire to propose their versions of tacos and quesadillas. What is refreshing is that those dishes are tasty and spicy (for most). It’s slightly on the salty side (never been to Mexico but we wondered if it was the original taste) so be prepared. We washed everything down with Margaritas. And they were good. Portions are of reasonable size and prices are all right (13-14€ for a main dish, 8€ for margaritas ). It’s a place appropriate for group gatherings and a bit noisy as a result. Not really suitable for a romantic night out . Small tip: arrive before 8pm and it will be easier for you to get a table. Later on, it will be harder because it never really empties.

We visited on a Saturday night, wasn't possible to reserve so arrived and saw tables getting ready to leave but were told by host-woman that she had no idea when any would be avail to us (and the people waiting behind us). We came back 10mins later and there were 3 tables avail! they also put 2x people on a 6x people table which is not smart. The veg tacos were nice (beans, aloe very plant) but they don't know how to use meat properly, it wasn't seasoned, not exciting flavours, nothing at all special. Guac is OK but very overpriced, drinks are OK but could be better (def not a pro cocktail maker). The very worst part is the staff, every single person was miserable, rude, not engaging with customers, not one smile, very awkward as I think they feel like they are something special and the customers are below them, very strange experience from the staff as Mexican places are usually very warm and hospitable, I hope they improve as i'd like to go regularly.

Small and cozy this authentic Mexican restaurant is incredible and turns out health delicious food with gluten free options (rare in Paris!). The tacos are fantastic and there is great vegetarian options. The staff are really friendly and efficient. Try not to go on a super hot day as the restaurant has no air conditioning and it was 36 degrees however the food was worth it!

It was a bit out of the way, but, the food was great. I need to be medically gluten free, and they had been recommended by others. Its VERY small - indoor seating for maybe 16. Others sat on the streetside. There is one small grill, but they managed to turn out some good food for us! I asked the proprietor about Gluten Free selections, and he was well informed about what I could eat - which was almost everything on the menu! Its pretty much self service - order at the counter and staff brings the food to you. Heads up....as a small building , without air conditioning, and the grill in the main restaurant....it got pretty warm in there. Otherwise, a recommended stop.

This place opens at 12pm so I had asked ahead of time (contacted via Facebook Messenger) if I could book a table at 12pm itself (because we were coming from another activity that would have concluded by 1130am). They said yes. Unfortunately we got there at 12pm and they were still busy setting up. Stood outside with my group of friends before finally at around 1220pm I crept in and asked about if we could just seat ourselves while they set up. They said Yes we could seat ourselves but that the kitchen wasn't ready yet. So it was kind of a bummer that my effort to contact them earlier and book a table wasn't met - but I guess they're just a casual eatery that "table bookings" isn't made a particularly big deal. Anywho -- dare I say, we had a really cool overall lunch experience that pretty much made up for them forgetting our table! The system is order at the bar and they would serve the food to us - service was efficient, food was great! The brunch set was super generous (pressed juice, delicious yogurt+muesli, then a main course (I took the quesadilla) plus a coffee at the end) - super yum and filling! In fact as both me and my husband took one brunch set each we actually felt at the end that we probably could have just shared the one brunch set. We also took a guacamole + chips starter to share for the table. So for 2 brunch sets (19euros each) + the starter = we paid 45euros . Not a bad deal for the portion, but I personally wouldn't mind a smaller portion for a little less. There are some nice options for vegetarians too (had a vegetarian friend at our table). So overall great experience trying this place out - the only reason I mention that they forgot about our table booking is so that perhaps that's something they might wanna improve on for the future :) . It was my birthday brunch, so if they would have remembered and opened the door for us at 12pm it would have been much nicer than waiting outside for 20minutes and would have made my birthday-day even better! Still, would totally recommend. :)

Tasty Mexican tacos in a tiny restaurant where you can drink amazing margaritas with tamarin juice or home made lime juice. There aren't many choices on the menu card; it's a bit expensive but the meals worth it.

Frankly, when arriving at the address, you wouldn't be blamed for mistaking this Mexican café/bar for a shady sleazy joint. Dark windows wet with condensation on the inside, stickers on the outside hinting at this after all was Café Chilango. Once having dared to enter, you are met with friendly hustling bar personnel, working hard to ensure rapid deliveries of wonderful Mexican authenticities served with a touch of class and exciting drinks/cocktails. The music and the people create an ambiance that is tempting the middle aged to recall younger days when the odd Tequila slammer could spice up the occasion. Regardless, such was the experience that if you're looking for something good to eat, fun to experience and that Mexican vibe, then remember Café Chilango. You won't be disappointed.

The place is nice and cozy. We ordered the guacamole, it was so nice with some tacos and quesadillas. The food is so tasty and if you add a beer or a margarita, it's heaven! The service good, everyone's really nice in the place. Definitely to come back sooner!

Good food & cozy atmosphere ran by a real Mexican chef. Authentic Mexican ingredients and taste including real corn tortillas and imported beer, tequila and mezcal. It brings back the true taste of home, Mexico! ¡Salud y Buen Provecho! (Cheers and Bon Appétit!)

Given that options for Mexican aren't that much in Paris, Chilango is actually great quality. The staff are relaxed yet quite attentive, and the menu is basic but everything on it is done very well. The 4 mixed tacos are actually very creative and taste great. However, I most enjoyed the quesadilla - the portion is huge and filling. The huevos rancheros for brunch is also nice. And while the price is a bit on the high side, it's actually quite standard prices for Paris (around 13-15 EUR per main dish).
