Nothing great... nor a value for money. Just tried the red curry and stick rice- man, was it too sticky!!

Taste is not as what Thais eat, more fusion which might lack of real Thai herb. Choo Chee Pla (Stream fish in coconut with chili paste) lack of chili paste taste. Tomyam soup portion is very small. Ped Ma Kham also taste more western since Thais usually don't cook duck in medium rare.

Recently, I joined a friend to have dinner at this Thai restaurant in Montparnasse. Having spend a lot of time enjoying Thai food, I prefer to have no Thai food than poorly prepared food. Aiyara prepared a three course meal as a table d'hote that provided a nice apetizer of chicken spring rolls and a reasonable pad thai. Overall, a... More

I am not sure how this place gets such a rating. Bland chicken satay to start... take away foof from a supermarket would be better. As for the staple green curry, the most Bland thing i have eaten in a long time. The chicken has that very strange smell. Have visited thailand 7 times and the staff here are completely... More

We debated about going here, and ended up glad we did. The food was better than any of us expected, and the staff very nice. I love Thai food, and living in China I know what Chinese food is like. Maybe we got a different cook than some of the other reviewers, but the food was really good. Our only... More

Everything I ate here had a very distinct "Chinese flavour". Having spent many months in Thailand I would have to argue that this is possibly the worst Thai food I have ever eaten in my life, anywhere, any time. Service was very friendly, and the restaurant itself was cozy.

The vegetarian entrees were ok, but my Pad Thai barely deserves the name: regular bami-noodles drenched in soy sauce, mixed with some tofu and chives- the taste was just very boring. The fried fish we ordered came in chilli-sauce from the bottle (it's a well-known brand we're using ourselves, so we know exactly what it tastes like). Waiters and backround-music... More

Looked at this place and thought, should we? We were so glad we did. From the outside very uninspiring, but the welcome was genuine. The staff were on hand to advise but not overpowering. We ordered Pad Khing Poulet and Cho Chi Pia. Chicken and Sea bass. With a single serving of rice which was more than enough for two.... More

Found this little gem on a small, but busy side street with many restaurant choices. The staff was friendly and service was good. I had the tom kha soup, which is one of my favorites. Main course I had the pad thai it was a generous portion and tasted better the next day, it softened out the heavy salt flavor.... More

We ordered green curry chicken, papaya salad and tofu fried rice. They are all very delicious. Great location and affordable price. The waiters are very friendly. One more thing I like about this restaurant is their menu (with English!!).

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
