This place was recommended to us by a friend who lives in Paris and as we were going to be a party of 10 we were advised to book a table in advance. It is so popular that there is no possibility that we could have dined here without a reservation, and we would have missed an excellent dining experience.... More

Fabulous place. Not very big, has an intimate atmosphere. We enjoyed quite a lavish dinner with the cheese and foie gras as an apetizer, wonderful lamb steak as an entree and Creme brule as a dessert. Accompanied by a bottle of bordeaux and cognac as a digestive. The food was rich in taste, nicely presented, I enjoyed it greatly. The... More

French classics, try the "oeuf cocotte au foie-gras" as starters... or dessert! Good wines, excellent service

We came here twice during our visit on a recommendation and booking by our hotel receptionist. As previously stated you do sit very close to other diners but we found everyone to be friendly and it added to the ambience and experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the rib of beef for two, we skipped the starter as we saw how big... More

Walking the winding alleys of Montmartre at night, you see people sitting elbow to elbow from the glass front of this little eatery. There are two rows of small tables on each side of the narrow restaurant and brass bars above the mirrors for the patrons motorcycle helmets. We came in out of the cold and were welcomed with a... Absolutely loved this place! They offer a small menu of French classics delivered in a modern way. The Rataouille Crumble with goats' cheese mousse was delicious. The specials of the day change according to what is available af the time. Good value for money, quirky and modern without being pretentious. Will definitely be back.

Found this packed little bistro when wandering the streets on Montmartre looking for dinner. Clearly a firm favourite with locals and tourists alike as we managed to grab the only table not booked for that night's service! The food is classic French served in an elegant way and with no pretension and of course the wine selection was incredible. The... More

As the title says, stumbled across this by chance, luckily nabbing the last spot to dine at the bar. Very enjoyable meal. Rustic style food with good flavours and quality ingredients (the lamb was exceptional). Very agreeable service. Good wine selection. A great warm and convivial atmosphere. A little on the pricey side (90 euros for 2 sharing a starter... More

Made the reservation thinking it was a different restaurant and was totally and pleasantly surprised. The chestnut soup and the ratatouille were superb. The quail in honey and lavender sauce was excellent and the service was friendly and fast. A really good dinner experience. Shame we had to run and missed dessert

Was there based on the good reviews and was not disappointed. Delicious traditional meals and friendly staff. Loved the open kitchen to see the cooks working. Weekdays not too crowded but reservation for a friday/saturday dinner clearly advised as it is really a small restaurant.

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
