We made a quick stop just to drink something, but it looked like a nice place to stay and eat something. It was full of customers, so serving took a while, but beside that no other problem. The bathroom is the same for men and women, so if you have a problem with that, it isn't your place.

My friend and I sat in the outside area which is covered, for hours catching up. We ordered a plate of cheese with lots of bread and it did the job and hit the spot and I had a great evening.

We stopped for a lunch after visiting Notre Dame and on our way to the Lourve. We all had the plate of the day which was steak with pepper sauce. It was nice and serving size good for lunch. Bread was good and house wine reasonable value.

Best in 3 days paris. Had the risotto with chicken and chorizo. Just enough and a good price for the standards in paris .

My wife and I were hungry after having massages near the Place des Halles area. Found this place across from Joe Allen's American restaurant near the Etienne Marcel metro stop. Greeted by a nice guy who spoke great English named Guillome. We decided on French onion soup first. It came to the table barely warm and was salty and peppery.... More

Stopped in around 1:30 for lunch, several items including the daily special were already sold out. Staff were mostly nice but very busy, perhaps understaffed. The food was okay but nothing special. Saw a group of kids (18-ish), they all ordered burgers and fries which looked better than my risotto. Only one visit, so perhaps a second visit would be... More

Service is OK good to sit have a smoke and watch the world go be on a busy noisey corner. The food I have eaten here twice not sure why a second time must have short tern memory lost. Sorry but it's as bad a Paris can offer.

We had 2 of their salads for lunch. Good, fresh and large. Good value for the price. The drinks were a bit expensive, and the service was a bit hit and miss, even though we had an early lunch and they were not that busy.

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
