We really enjoyed ourselves sitting at this classic Paris outdoor cafe. Food was very good, service excellent and prices fair. The menu had helpful English translation. My wife loved the Quiche Lorraine. Enjoy the wine!

Stopped by for breakfast on a weekday at about 9AM. It is typically French and typically Parisian. The waitress was friendly and helpful and the, admittedly standard, breakfast hit the spot and was very good value. If we had not been too busy we would have tried the brasserie for a lunch or dinner.

During a fabulous weekend in Paris with my wife and children. We discovered the Village Ronsard, this typically Parisian brasserie in the heart of the Latin Quarter. We enjoyed the French cuisine. And we had the chance to meet the manager of this restaurant, Alexander who was a wonderful host. Thanks again! See you soon

In Paris it can be difficult to find a place to eat at a reasonable price and as a couple who enjoy authenticity, we chose the small, cosy looking Le Village Ronsard. We arrived early evening and as it was quiet, with only ourselves and a few other tables occupied, we made the wrong assumption that the waiter would be... More

I had pate - ok. The duck was cold and raw. Horrible. I sent it out and got dry duck in return. Not very cosy and never come back here.

Village Ronsard, at the corner of of Rue des Carmes and Boulevard St Germain in the Latin Quarter, provides a lovely opportunity to enjoy good French food with the equally nice outdoor Parisian dining experience – and at a price that won’t break the bank! My melt-in-your-mouth Confit de Canard (duck) lunch was a very reasonable price, with a basket... More

As this was Saturday and a market day in the square in front of the café, we sat outside this pleasant establishment and enjoyed the people-watching as the many market patrons milled around all the meat and vegetable stalls. We ordered a pate starter with a small green salad. Since we didn't have a full meal, we can't speak to... More

This was by far the worst experience I had for a very long time. The service and the waiter were extremely rude with a terrible attitude; he managed to destroy our good mood for the remaining day. I recommend that you stay away for this horrible place.

This will be my shortest review ever. See the attached receipt. 3 glasses of water and a beer for a total of what's equivalent to $40. Need I say more? Stay away!

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
