Charming and intimate japonese restaurant. The staff is very polite and gentle.I have only tasted the chirachi which proved to be delicious and very nicely presented.

We found a good review for this restaurant in the French newspaper Le Figaro and decided to try it during our last trip to Paris. Very friendly staff! Limited choice between a 3 courses menu and a 5 courses surprise menu. If you like to try out more varied Japanese food than the traditional sushi and Teppanyaki, go for the... More

One of my all time favorite in Paris. I used to work in the area and to have some lunches there. There are only a few tables and it's better to book before but sometimes you can get lucky and just walk in. The food is one of the best I've had in Paris for Japanese. It is not some... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel and we weren't disappointed. It's very small but was busy which is always a good sign and the food was absolutely delicious. The service was attentive and very friendly. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable evening, would definitely go back.

The food here is quite delicious and the drawings of chrysanthemums hanging on the wall are serene and just wonderful. Owing to it being the school holidays just now, the restaurant was not very busy for lunch when I went earlier this week. It deserves more custom! Apparently you do have to book in the evenings as it is usually... More

I was there for lunch yesterday and became instantly an enthusiast - for the fine food, the decor (so refined when compared to the usual Asian restaurants in Paris) and the service.

It was a 2nd time I was going there. And it was again stunning and delicious. The place is quiet ,the people are kind and smiling - as it was school holidays, the young boys were there, helpful and charming - decoration is simple and nice, totally japanese. The dishes are really DELICIOUS. It's so hard to find a good... More

Went to Kiku last night and had the Origami tasting menu- the larger, more expensive menu at 55€ - and it was worth every penny. The food was superlative with the filet of beef particularly brilliant. All dishes packed a punch of flavour and were beautifully presented. Recommend a booking as it's a tiny little place.

For a great alternative to traditional Japanese sushi, try Kiku. The prix-fixe menu is a perfect way to taste the clean, fresh offerings from the chef. The staff are very accommodating and the restaurant was immaculate. We had fresh tomatoes in a slightly piquant vinegar, followed by a gorgeous shrimp tempura, miso soup and steamed sea bass. Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
