This review is of the wine bar, located across the street from the main restaurant. It opened on 6:30 the evening I was there and there was already a line of several people waiting to get in when I arrived. If you don't want to wait, get there early. The food was fantastic and the staff was helpful and very... More

Visited again - 2 years later and the food was just as good and the welcome was just as warm as I remember although Gregory Marchand was not there himself. I love the way Frenchies does many vegetable based courses (the deep fried brussel sprouts were excellent) but the duck breast was also the BEST I've ever had (and I... More

Frenchie is on a little side street that was around the corner from our rented apartment. We stopped in shortly after our arrival to attempt to book a table. Luckily we were going to be in town for 2 weeks because that was about how far out we had to go! The place is tiny and has 2 seatings. It... More

We've dined at Frenchie many times - and the food has been generally top quality if tiny portions. Our first attempt at the new Lunch was a shock. Frenchie was not present. We should have known when the waiter (who had been our waiter at numerous dinners) was almost nasty. He was insulted by my asking for a French menu... More

My friend and I came here to experience the tasting menu, and we were completely blown away! The atmosphere inside is modern, sophisticated without being pompous, the staff are friendly and relaxed and make you feel at home straight away. Each dish is a beautifully crafted work of art, and they are clearly proud of what they're serving. The highlight... More

Frenchie restaurant is too expensive for us, therefore we went for the wine bar, best decision we've made! Food is amazing and you can watch the chef preparing your food with heart! (especially the asian girl !) better come early as it will be full by 7-8pm. Good recommendations of wines and we enjoyed it so much. definitely coming back... More

We were fortunate enough the score a reservation at this incredibly charming restaurant. The entire staff was cheerful and friendly. The food was absolutely marvelous. Awesome atmosphere, very energetic. I'd definitely return.

I dined at Frenchie on the penultimate night of my 5 day trip to Paris with friends in February 2017. I thought the setting was charming and the service was excellent. I loved the 5-course chef's dinner (that I'm certain alternates weekly, if not nightly) and felt like the small portions and variety, making you want to eat more of... More

Been looking forward to my return to Frenchie and a while. Was in town for business and secured a highly sought after reservation. The 7-course meal was simply divine. From the scones to the deserts, our dinner was unforgettable. The cozyness of the restaurant also made it more memorable. Staff was gracious, courteous, and funny (JP, you still owe me... More

First time I remembered early enough to score a reservation in this spectacular intimate restaurant. Our chef for this evening was Austin Johnson who came here from The Nomad and 11 Madison Park in NYC. He has succeeded in melding his talents learned there with the oft-times superior ingredients obtainable in Paris. Needles to say, the entire meal was simply... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
