We decided to take a break from French food and try Italian on our last night in Paris. And it did not disappoint. It's the real deal in a cosy and traditional setting (though they should really dim the lights a little for more intimacy - it's really bright), with great food and a convivial atmosphere. The two waiters were... More

The food is very good but the most important is the hospitality and atmosphere - I strongly recommend this place for those who like the real spirit of Paris

My spouse and I were staying at a nearby Airbnb and after a day out and about in Paris we didn't want to go too far. We wandered till we came across Don Giovanni and said "Why not?" to Italian in Paris. It was a lovely fall evening, so we sat outside at one of their two (!) outdoor tables.... More

A small and inconspicuous place in a quiet street full of restaurants. Very friendly service and cozy atmosphere. Not a very big menu (we were there for lunch) but nevertheless a nice selection. I had vittelo tonnato and spagetti vongole, both very tasty. Good selection of wine. They opened a fresh bottle of red and you only pay for what... More

My family and went to Don Giovanni's a couple of weeks ago when we were visiting Paris. From the second we walked into the door we it was a wonderful experience. We were greeted with smiling faces and right away they were very accommodating to us Americans. The server eagerly translated the menu for us and the manager, I believe... More

When I’m in Paris I always look for nice little real French restaurants and certainly will not look for any other cuisine. But when my sister in law invited us for dinner, she took us to an Italian restaurant (she lives for more than 40 years in Paris and therefor loves to eat something ‘foreign’). No regrets: Don Giovanni is... More

I lived more than 10 years in Italy so it is hard for me to find good italian restaurants! Don Giovanni is one of my favourite place in this city! I go there since 4 years now and I always enjoy the food and the service ! The location is very nice too, near Hotel de Ville, Notre-Dame and the... More

We loved the little area downstairs, but it was a bit loud. Regardless, they were full there so we were seated in the much quieter upstairs. We ordered a seafood pasta with clams, shrimp and other fruits of the sea along with an eggplant and pasta dish. Both were solidly good although not spectacular.

Italian friends living in Paris, brought us in this restaurant and we got really happy. we tasted the dishes that the very friendly owner suggested us. I tried the fish and it was perfect. What we payed, was not too much, considering that we are talking about Paris.

Hidden in a street paralel to rue rivoli, this nice little italian resrtaurant offers great, friendly service and excellent food freshly prepared. I had tuna tartare as a starter which was delicious and absolutely needs to be fresh :-) and spaghetti vongole as main course a real delight!

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
