After a long and tiring day of sightseeing away from the main tourist spots in Paris, my wife & I needed something to eat to get us through until our dinner reservation at 8:30PM, so we dropped into La Comete, and walked out very satisfied,...and glad we had chosen to go there. We shared French Onion Soup, and St-Nectaire Fermier cheese, and both were so large and generous we couldn’t finish either one. Wine is good, and reasonably priced. Raj provided us with excellent service, which we appreciated very much. Thank you Raj, and thank you La Comete.More

We ate there three times during our stay. The food was lovely, promptly served and well presented. Service was great. One waiter, with perfect English, deserves special mention. The fact that they serve food for most of the day is, in this instance, a great...advantage for those who wish to eat at different times. The atmosphere is very French and welcoming. We would recomend this restaurant/bar to anyone who finds themselves in this area of Paris.More

Pretty standard French cafe. Plenty of seating outside, but it was a blustery day in April with some light rain occasionally, so we joined everyone else inside. Pretty tight per Paris standards, but plenty of elbow room from our seat. Had a glass of house...white that was pretty good. Started off with a shared soup a l'oignon (onion soup). It was just great! Also added a club de poulet which turned out to be too much food between the two. The club came with some waffle cut fries/potatoes that were tasty but unobtrusive. The club was good, but the pickeled veggies took some getting used to as well. The waiter was good, the bathroom did the deed (upstairs) and we enjoyed the warm stay in the rain.More

This restaurant was right around the corner from our hotel. The server was excellent - friendly and efficient too. Food was excellent too. In fact, we are there 2 nights in a row (with the same waiter both nights)! As for food, the French onion...soup was excellent, my husband loved the escargot, and the sausage with mashed potatoes, beef steak, and duck were all good. The pavlova with berries is a must, the crème brûlée, the apple tart Tatin, and the pear and almond clafoutis were all delicious! I may add the cocktails I had were great as well. Plus the restaurant is open until 2 am and you don’t need reservations. Quality food, top-notch service, it’s a win-win with this restaurant - I’d come back again, no problem!!More

Stopped in at 11 AM on a Saturday for a snack/last meal before our flight back to NYC. I was looking for a spot near our hotel that had beef tartare and that was not a tourist trap and I found La Comète, which looked...pretty legit. Unfortunately, it was too early for the tartare as they only serve that during lunch/dinner hours. So we ordered an onion soup, a dozen snails, and a cheese plate. The onion soup was really good. The cheese was nice and melty and slightly charred in some spots. I shared this with my husband but I probably could have eaten two of these on my own. The snails were great as well. But I feel like 12 is a little too much for two people, but 6 wouldn't be enough. For the cheese plate, I don't remember what was on it but I remember not liking the harder cheeses and really liking the gorgonzola. I wish we found out about this place sooner so we could have tried a proper meal. If anyone gets a chance to try the beef tartare, let me know!More

I’m sorry for the title but the experience in this place is the most I remember; sat outdoors to enjoy some drinks after long walks and to watch local life when a beggar started to grab some food from the table beside us with the...two ladies sitting there; one of them told him stop and go away, she kicked him and finally leaved, in a matter of seconds came the waiter and changed everything in the table; when we stood up ready to leave, another beggar sat in my seat to have the little leftover remained in the glasses (mainly ice) the waiter immediately came to clear the “empty” glasses from the table. If intended to eat, better sit inside. Sadly poverty is common in major cities as saw many of them begging and sleeping everywhere.More

Greated by pleasant staff who quickly dropped their smiles after they had got us through the door. Food was terrible.. it was served within 5 minutes of ordered and was obciously microwaved. Both of our dishes were dry as a bone and tasteless. We promptly...left this poor excuse for a restuarant!More

We were staying locally and tried this restaurant on the off chance. It is superb. The service from the English waiter was exemplary and the food exceptional. The best restaurant we have visited in Paris by some margin.

A delicious alternative to Bouillon Chartier serving tasty cocktails, dishes and Escargots - a true delicacy in France. Happy hour ends at 8pm, so be sure to arrive early to start your meal with a cocktail. TIP: Order Escargots, Onion Soup & Tommy's Margarita.

We were in Paris for 6 nights and normally ate our evening meal at this cafe. The menu is limited but the food is tasty and prices are very reasonable. There is a good range of alcohol. Service is excellent with waiters who speak English....Louis, in particular, was helpful. Smoking is permitted at the outside tables. Highly recommended.More

I did not notice any sign board announcing 24/7 happy hour. So I can't say for sure.
