Price more than reasonable, the cheapest neighborhood perfect for parties. Very nice bar with frescoes on the bar. Personnel charming and very pleasant to small care.

We stopped in for a lunch one afternoon because we stayed in the area. Glad we did, the staff was really friendly and the food was very good. Not disappointed! Great burgers! Give them a try!

Delicious burger, fries and charcuterie . Staff tried to speak English since I don't speak French, even though the everyone else did.

We were only able to sample the fabulous desserts, but everything about this place is magically Parisian!

This pub is a haunt of locals and managed by a warm and effervescent lady called Agnes! We stopped here for dinner and for an aperitif the following night! Just perfect if you're looking for a relaxed and friendly place for a bite to eat!

Le Balto was the perfect stop for a few glasses of Verne Bargerac and Leffe Bier as we wandered the streets of Paris. Great staff, cold bier and good wine.

As Americans traveling in France, it's wonderful to be treated like a local, with lovely service, good, food, and a great staff. Plenty to go around at Le Balto. We sat outside for a dinner around 7:45 on a Tuesday and took in the ambiance of the street. That ambiance included the staff and management laughing and chatting with locals... More

I ordered the confit de canard (duck) and it was absolutely delicious! I was very happy with both the meal and the service.

My husband and I took his parents for dinner and had such a wonderful time. The staff were incredibly patient with our English, took time to explain the menu, and poured us samples of wine before we bought anything (even just a glass). We spent over three hours here and felt completely relaxed and happy. The restaurant feels very local,... More

Even though the menu was quite limited it became apparant that the meal was prepared with care and was quite tasty. My wife had the duck confit and I a beef steak-type dish, and we shared a pate appitizer washed down with pleanty of Sancerre. The waiter spoke adequate Engish and had a sense of humor. Service was a little... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
