Visited this place while walking in this area. We wanted hot chocolate and the hot chocolate didn't deliver. It was ok and we had better. There was too much milk and too little chocolate. For the price, I expected better. The presentation and the service was good, though. I think that the prices are high: 5,30 for one hot chocolate.

Conveniently located between Saint Germain des pres , Notre Dame and Montparnasse. The salads are amazing, the desserts are freshly made .

This cafe is under new ownership and all of our meals were very good. The tapas is good to share for a quick bite and the smoked salmon is very fresh and done in house. We ate there twice on our recent trip. The staff is very accommodating

once we were seated and waiting for drinks which, to be fair arrived promptly. Closer examination of the menu left us cold. Service, especially front of house was not good. Tried to seat us on low chairs at the side window (husband is 6ft6) when we pointed another table out we were told it was for four.....she was looking at... More

Eaten in many restaurants/cafes in Paris. Over priced, average food and poor customer service. Not a good experience and will not return.

We arrived for dinner and were seated right away, which was great. Our first course arrived within reasonable time but then, we waited over an hour with no entrees in sight. Our server had never placed our order and was MIA. Another server stopped at our table and asked if we were ready for dessert. We explained that we were... More

Arrived 10 minutes before happy hour ended and asked if it would be ok to get happy hour drinks and the told us to get seated. Tried to order but no one came by until a minute within happy hour ending and the lady taking our order rudely informed us that happy hour ended.

Arrivée à 19:30. Attente de 20 mn avant d'avoir un coca tiède. Most of the waiters are just pacing the place, looking busy.

While walking with friends in Paris we stopped here for a lunch. Service was good. Food average. The Entrecote was too well done. Difficult to cut. Coffee below competition.

A typical French bistro, well prepared food and a swift service. For as was a good experience although a the drinks are quite expensive (5 euro for a 33 cl Coca Cole).

The Caf Cassette is in the sixth district of Paris near Saint Germain des Prs. The atmosphere is a mixture of cosy caf and fine dining restaurant. Caf Cassette mixes the contemporary with the traditional and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. If it is not a meal you feem like why not trop in for hot chocolate on the terrace (heated in the winter). On Sunday's both French and American style brunch is on offer. The wine menu is extensive and open to all as almost everything is available by the glass.

Neighbourhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
