I have been there with some friends for dinner. It is a clean, elegant and nice place where to have dinner with your partner or with some friends. The host and the waiters are very kind and they speak english fairly well so there is no problem for no-french speakers like me. I had a pascade with pork and pasta... More

After a visit at Palais Garnier we were walking around and we found Pascade. We didn't know what to expect but we were lucky enough to find two seats at the big dining table in the centre of the restaurant. The restaurant is cosy and chic but the food deserves the spotlight... it is magic! Unique and genuine, never eaten... More

I was not overwhelmed The Pho Porc was good, until you tasted the sweet brioche bottom Not a great combination A little too arrogant for my tastes, if I'm eating in your restaurant, I can clearly afford it, no need to be pretentious. Especially as you're serving us Would not eat here again, very limited menu without anything terribly interesting... More

Nice place, good food. But plan carefully the wine strategy. If you get 4 glasses of Bourgogne chardonnay (the most basic wine of the region).... 60€ for the equivalent of less than half a bottle! And it's useless to let them know... Peccato! A Michelin bib gourmand sans sourire....

Service stands out at this place! Wonderful service with smiling faces, English speaking and very courteous. Desserts are good. However, the savoury food selection is completely bland. I literally struggled to ascertain if my Thai beef mix (on a pie base) had any taste at all! For desserts and drinks it should be a good choice and the location is... More

As others say, this place serves food in crepes shaped like bowls. I got a soup, salad, entree (with pork, mashed potatoes, and vegetables), plus wine and a cheese course, for $39. That is a steal in this very expensive neighborhood. And it was all quite good and tasty. It wasn't a huge portion, but I have a pretty big... More

I have stayed in the Opera area for 10 days and tried a different restaurant each night for dinner. This was the best one for sure. Good food (but some of the criticisms are fair), nice ambiance (except for the sliding door that lets in cold air) and friendly English speaking service. The 3 course menu at €32 is also... More

We were a group of 7 having dinner at Pascade. We sat on the high table in the middle, which was quite comfortable. They had a sliding door at the end which when opened brought in some cold air, thus not perfect. The atmosphere and the service was great. The food is all based on a pie like bottom filled... More

I have been to a lot of restaurants all around the world and reviewed a good many of them, but I am struggling to find many good things to say about Pascade. The only mitigating circumstances for this review could be that we went there with three children (aged 9, 13 and 15), and we had had a long day... More

Cool vibe and amazing food close to the opera house and velodrome. Three course lunch for 32 euro and house red and white for 4 euro per glass. I would say this is a must if you have time while in Paris. Would recommend reservations but we were able to do so without for lunch. No vegetarian option - at... More

Alexandre Bourdas has adopted the pascade, a thick crêpe from the farms of the Rouerge. He has revised the recipe to obtain a crisp, tender and delicate texture, and fills it with flavour combinations drawn from his culinary experience. At the end of November 2012, his cantine- auberge dedicated to this rustic dish opened in the centre of Paris.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
